Hey guys, not sure if there is enough of you that actually play this sport but I suppose its another new thread for the forum that can help tick over the offseason boredom.

Any of you play, I dont play comp or anthing like that (Pennants) more so have social games with mates & beers etc. anyway, last week I was watching via Foxtel IQ the APL which is like a jazzed up version of lawn bowls but in a twenty/20 style like cricket where they tweaked a few things to appeal to the normal non viewer or lawn bowl fan.

I dont mind the odd "roll", its sort of becoming addictive & i plan to get more into it.

If I havent set this up on forum under other sports can one of you more tech savy people do it for me, thanks in advance.

Many good days spent on the piss barefoot bowling. Had a few team building sessions in my old job at the bowls club - good fun.

As for pro I had a mate who got mad into it after his footy career ended prematurely. Was headed for some rep gig but got a job in the mines and gave it up.

I got an uncle who do the senior circuit around his way, makes a killing for a old bloke on a pension having fun on the drink chatting up the old ducks.

Cool, good to hear, there are days when I'm on fire, thinking to myself I've got this sussed, next time I come out & play I play like a busted & cant get near the jack, its alot like golf in that respect.

I orginally bought a set of second hand bowls that were probably made before I was born, I have since upgraded to another second hand set & the bowls are more modern & straight so its a bit easier to bowl half decent.

I'm playing barefoot bowls for a mates buck's day in a couple of weeks. I played a couple of times at school years ago, I actually really enjoy it. Marbles for grown ups.

I played lawn bowls the day of my sisters 21st and the day after. The first day me and the old man wiped the floor with everyone, second day we couldn't even get close to the jack.

Good fun game for drinking and socialising.

So I played barefoot bowls on Saturday, must say it is bloody good fun. Definitely keen to play a bit more.

Might head to the local bowling club at 4pm on Sunday and watch 85 year olds roll balls down a bit of grass. Will be more exciting than the alternative.
