I don't believe just getting to play FG with a **** team is automatically going to develope your game , if it's not a positive experience it could be quite detrimental , keep him improving at the jets and he will get an opportunity in FG at some stage .

As I said yesterday, he's 28 this year. Would be hard to knock back.

I generally agree but sometimes a ripe looking apple looks great from the outside, but when you bite into it. It’s rotten to the core and you regret going anywhere near it…….

He’d be wise to chose carefully even given his age.
It’s his call in the end and the club needs to say ok.
We will want some good in return thou.

Yeah agree mate. Not sure we'd be getting anything good in return though mate, that's probably wishful thinking

"Best we can do is a 550k Corey Allan"

Would be problematic to release Miller with Metcalf already leaving next season. That would mean next year assuming we keep Moylan we have only really three options familiar with our system. It's enough, but I'd like 4 better. And that if we weren't retaining Moylan it is 2.
And that's not even touching on it looks like he is currently fullback number 2 too.

My point was more around going there then coming back , if it is a permanent move yeah at his age he might just want to get a crack , still think it would be a dumb move , it might be FG but getting flogged each week isn't a much fun . I am sure we have all played in crap sports teams and good ones , i know which ones i have the fondest memories of . But plenty of footballers have made dumb decisions .

You also don't want to be the club that stands in the way of guys getting their opportunity if we aren't going to give it to them. We'll be reasonable. Miller for Burton sounds fair.

We'd definitely be helping the Bulldogs not get in the way of Burton getting a decent opportunity

the young blokes have a degree of familiarity with our systems as they obviously do some sessions with the FG boys - Rivett, Dykes ect but yea I know what you mean, it's not the same thing. Having said that Miller hasn't played any actual games of FG NRL yet either

Yeah but I think Miller probably getting a lot of reps with the first grade side, and playing Cup against men unlike Rivett too
