Is young prop kurt dillon signed past 2013 season? Saw this kid play last season big engine for a prop can play 80 minutes, with no rests. And is he the son of former 80's wests and canterbury backrower geoff dillon?

Hopefully he has put on some size, was too young last season and got dominated by pretty much all of the other forwards imo.

My dad's friends with one of Kurts parents and I remember him saying last year that he signed for the remainder of 2012 as well as 2013.

So I believe he is here this year.

Ive seen this kid play a couple of times and he hasn't been dominated, seen him take the ball up twice in a set of six for 8 consecutive sets in one game last year, did all the work of some of the more experienced players, and doesnt bludge in defence, a real good prospect this kid

In light of the fact we only have 3 senior props who are fit at the moment, and most of the rest of our forwards are injured too, is it worth giving this kid at crack at FG this weekend as a bench prop. Normally it wouldn't even be considered, but in a game like this he could get a feel for it with no pressure because, let's face it, we're going to get flogged no matter who takes the field.

I was out at mounties on the weekend, and this kid really impressed me, as a matter of fact he impressed a few in the crowd with one supporter saying he is just back from 7 weeks out with an injury, him and junior moors clearly the sharks best, and canberra officials were suitably impressed sitting next to me asking who he was and how old he was etc. He has BIG MOTOR if he has just come back from 7 weeks out with an injury.

Who cares if he's a local junior, I only care if he's good enough - if he is then sign him up. More after talent over whether they're local or not.

same, yeah it would be great to have a gun local come through the ranks but I just want good players, I don't care if they come from **** holes like Fairfield or maitland

Same here, as long as they stop recruiting halfbacks from parramatta...

I agree actually, I just reckon if they show some promise, which he appears to, and they are already contracted and have moved through the junior system, then back the judgement that kept them here in the first place. It's a bad time to walk away from a signing IMO.

If you ever watch under 20's they can't tackle, not just cronulla, every side. But this kid can tackle. He is average with the ball, but a massive work rate for long minutes, and thats the key, he can give you the edge with rotation, because he has a much bigger motor than the other sharks forwards. And what i like about him is he has been physically tested and challenged a few times, and ive seen him iron a couple of blokes out in 20's, sprinting in of tap restarts and drilling opposing forwards. A real will to compete. He couldnt do any worse than some of the dead wood they have in the forwards in the top grade.

I was told earlier this morning that Dillon had resigned with the sharks, knocking back wests, parra and the warriors. Can anyone confirm this?
