In some ways I am glad he didn't have an overly great game, but was ok. At least he has something to build on. I recall another sharks player playing his first game, and Gus called it one of the best debuts he had ever seen. Within a year or so, he was never heard of again....

shame that he and ronaldo were just that bit too close,
right position, kade was there for his first try on NRL debut!
If Ronnie had of just passed, instead of going the flick pass, would have worked out fine.

Taller, more pale, more of a gumby. Blonde hair. Best mates with Townsend or something.

(Mills)
That was more because of injuries rather than not being up to it. Currently playing some good footy for Mittagong in the Group 6 comp with Bryson Goodwin and Latimore.

Agree. ET LOOKED GOOD AT 17. THIS KID IS 22 and is not any whwre near et

I just said he moved like an early version of Tedesco and when fully grown might take on some additional Teddy attributes .
Not making any early crows just yet , a long way to go , but he is young ( just turned 20 ? )
Not as young ( 17 ) as when ET' debuted , but like ET showed glimpses that he has HEAPs of potential.
I think we all can agree to that.

On the evidence of that one game i got the impression this kid really challenges the defensive line with his speed and foot work , obviously a long way to go but with natural progression and experience he could be a little gem .

We just need to be careful what we write on this forum otherwise there will be an article in the Tele saying : "sources with the Sharks have predicted that young Dykes is the next ET."

Don't do it Buzz!

Yeah He was blowing hard. Was grabbing the water bottle on the sidelines at some points.

Can’t blame him. First game at fullback and you run a lot in that position. Easily worked on
A little undersized I thought too. But it'll all come.
So he's the next ET, Teddy and whoever else.

Good first game. Let's just keep a lid on expectations.
I thought he moved more like Ponga. Long gangly sort of runner. Powerful bursts into the line.
Hopefully not the next Ponga... He'll be a NSWelshman in any case right?
