Defensively, I agree.

I'd go Hiroti/Stonestreet first because at least Hiroti can pass the ball. But we're talking stopgap measures.
And it wouldn't address our problems in defence.
 
Hopefully Jesse has spent his time in a deep meditative trance pushing all the noodlebrain energy out of his body.

A few less mistakes/penalties and he’s right back to being a strong centre.

One can only hope.
The team needs a spark, something to get out of its rut... anything.
 
Yeah, he went well tonight, if he could just play at that level without all the other junk.
I’ll temper giving more praise or excitement because we know what’s around the corner.

It's as if they'd decided to gift him a try for old times sake.

Jesse had a very good game otherwise. Hopefully he makes all his usual dumb mistakes during the bye round and produces another fine performance in a fortnight.

Had a great game. I love the way he can just totally shut down a play with a 1-on-1 tackle. You can't win them all though when outnumbered.

He's moved past the Pom now, and next game he moves past Mark McGaw and into the top 20 Sharks appearances list (according to RLP):
