Leutele. Not flashy, but far more reliable. Would've lost that game with Ramien in the team - hands down...Not taking into consideration THAT 2016 tackle,
In what order do you rate 1 - 3

Yeah but neither of those 2 do it as good as he does. Are they so much better in other areas to make up for it? I haven’t seen enough of them to say. We’re four years into “he does good work out of our own end” excuse softening on his performances.
If that’s the only thing he brings then so could Gabrael, or Hiroti, or anyone else for that matter.
jessie is getting beat on the outside, is nikora quick enough to stop this?So it’s been brought up before, and someone smarter than me will probably tell me why it won’t work, but I’d be moving Nikora into the centres.
It gets rid of Ramien. It allows Burns to keep his spot. It finds a way to have all 3 of Nikora, Tieg and Burns.
I just don’t think Hiroti or Gabriel will be an upgrade on Ramien.
Either of them wouldn’t but that much of a drop off from Ramien in metres though either.Yeah but neither of those 2 do it as good as he does. Are they so much better in other areas to make up for it? I haven’t seen enough of them to say.
Yep. If our forwards had been more dominant, things would have been a bit easier for our backs.Watching parts of the replay, he was better than I first thought. He had some strong carries in that first 20 minutes. The dropped ball on the second tackle, really he should have had some support, he had the offload ready to go. The defence on the right edge at the end of the first half was pretty horrible though, I'm not sure whose fault it was.
Still I think we need to get to the point where nobody is un-droppable. I'd bring Hiroti in this week, and Gabrael on the extended bench. Ramien can fight his way back in, and I think he would.
Yeah it’s not that he absolutely deserves to be dropped. Still very high metres and credited with only one missed tackle.Yep. If our forwards had been more dominant, things would have been a bit easier for our backs.
While the game was in the balance he really was okay. His combined 4 errors, 2 penalties against Penrith has everyone pissed off at him, and rightly so.Watching parts of the replay, he was better than I first thought. All fair. Honestly though I don’t want to see Vea’ila named again unless injuries. He’s on the way out, and he doesn’t offer any speed or difference to the team. Hiroti at least brings skill, Gabrael speed and a bit of fireWhile the game was in the balance he really was okay. 1 error, 1 on report (without the penalty) this week we could have used last week.
He runs well and makes good meters. He's not a big ball playing centre but never was. He's always been brute force and look for an offload afterwards as his main method of getting the ball to the winger.
Herbie, who has started the season very well has 13 passes off 60 receipts (pass off every 4.6)
Ramien has 9 off 53 (pass every 5.9)
Iro has 9 off 58 (every 6.4)
So it's not like he's some vice grip like no other centre ever has been.
The Penrith game, that many mistakes when we need to be near perfect, that's what says to me he's a guy who could make victory in the toughest games stay out of reach. And for that I think moving him on, and hitting on the replacement
He did also have the scoot himself at the tryline on I think it was 4th but that doesn't worry me too much. A back we have for power backing themselves to power over once in a blue moon is not a big ordeal to me. Ideally he saw something that made him think he had an improved chance...
It's probably still Vea'ila in front of Gabrael, although that doesn't change the sentiment. And I can't speak to other form to warrant them changing.
Unless video review found more non-stats issues with Ramien I'm not sure he warrants a drop. Hiroti has no form to lean on and Ramiens game (statistically and his running game as you mentioned) were okay this week. If Hiroti had looked good in Cup the week before his case would be a lot stronger IMO. Probably odd I both want Ramien gone and am saying don't drop him atm haha

he may only be credited with one miss against herbie but he was all over the shop getting beaten on the inside and outside shoulder, same the week before against maclean. this causes katoa to jamb when he doesnt need to and nicho to push to hard from the inside. defended much better next to stonestreet last year. While the game was in the balance he really was okay. Hope you weren't the cause of the name change?
Mine would have been the Betamax... which doesn't sound greatI don't think he is. It's not The Phonograph, is it?
