Official Jesse Ramien

Management. Not pressure. Depends if the cowboys player would solve the issue.

Personally an up and coming winger or hooker for me (idk if they have any)
id agree with the first half of that

mawene and gabriel are first port of call for jesses spot

Gotta admit, my heart skipped a beat when I seen recent posts in this thread, c’mon Santa come early, tell us Jesse has found a new home.
Gunna miss his execution at icing tries with a simple draw & pass.
We've only got 2 guys that can draw and pass. 1 and 6.

we're trying to relieve cap pressure, if we do go for a player swap i doubt it would be for a starting first grade player..
That’s the point of this. The Cowboys might want to relive a little cap pressure of their own and that is why this has been framed as a swap deal of sorts in the media.
Most likely though, this will just be a case of finding Jesse a landing spot off the Sharks 2026 cap as soon as possible.
The club has plenty of replacements already.

Wonder if Eels can be persuaded to take him now that Lomax has left

I wouldn't be shocked if they were one of the 6 teams originally reported to be interested in him.

Other than penisini most of their outside backs are probably more suited to the wing

Do you think the reported 6 interested parties is an exaggeration - manager generated ?

Not really. Some with only a few games.
Hiroti has the most games of all of them.

If I was going to guess, I’d say Michael Gabrael is who the Sharks have lined up as a replacement.
So, with that in mind, I think this is a move that can be made with very little downside to it from the Club’s point of view.

If this does happen Hiroti will get first crack in the centres imo. Gabriel though will be pushing and ready to go if Hiroti or Iro suffer an injury or suspension. Will then be on him to hold his spot.

Gabriel has a much higher ceiling then Vea’lia, really don’t think he will see much nrl for us unless there’s a decent injury list.

Is Hiroti even keen on being a first choice NRL player? Seems very content to play backup. Surely he could have got a starting gig somewhere by now if he really wanted to.

I agree, I think this is what will happen if Ramien leaves.

But I wouldn't mind seeing Gabrael debut from Round 1. A nice friendly start at home vs the Titans.
