Another forum has us signing both Jake Kambos (prop from Roosters U20) and Semisi Sikei (back rowers from NZ u18’s) for the 20’s next year.

I don’t know much about either player, other than that Kambos played with Billy in the Greece team and that Sikei’s brother (Rima) was previously a Warriors prospect who was murdered last year.

Good thing we beat everyone to this kids signature

It's a tough one. He has talent but doesn't have the size/shape to be an NRL winger, and couldn't beat out the incumbent players in 1, 6 or 7 and he doesn't have as much utility value as Pickering. He would have been awesome to watch in the nines though - maybe he will end up as a rugby 7's player.

Will be a much younger pack this year. Cruz, Monty, Hazelton, Kula is a lot of go forward to lose.

Was actually 18-0 early.

The team was 1-16, with Pickering in #18 getting the nod over Dakin for the final bench spot.

There are not two Ieriko brothers. Elijah/Deighton Ieriko is the same player. Sharks list him as Elijah but NSWRL always uses Deighton

They haven't posted any yet, but for the 18's and 20's they usually don't put them up until late Tuesday or early Wednesday.

Just copying/pasting info from the signings thread on the two young players who were signed from Queensland last week. I'll update this to a 2021 thread soon.

Jack Martin (Ipswich Jets) is born in 2001, so will be 20's eligible next season. He played 2 Q Cup games last year as a 17 year-old (which requires special permission from the QRL) and played ina trial for the Broncos this year. The Ipswich Jets posted a video to facebook when he made his debut. https://www.facebook.com/IpswichJets...9807872719622/

Ryan Rivett (Burleigh Bears) is born in 2002 will be and eligible for 20's next year. He played for Burleigh's 18's last season, went to Palm Beach Currumbin, and has previously been contracted to the Titans. His management posted a highlights video to YouTube. Looks to have a bit of everything to his game.

Don't know if it means anything but The Warriors have invited my son to be apart of their u17 training squad for 2021.

So Mathews is 17, Ball is 19 and Flegg is 21 ?

Hope it doesn't impact the good players playing in NSW cup, guess it does help those ineligible when they turn 20 but not good enough yet a platform to keep pushing.

Makes sense - everyone just stays with the same group as they were with this season.

I don't think it would impact the better players. The trend this days is to have your best 3-4 prospects playing NSW/QLD Cup at 18/19.

Rivett will apparently stay with Burleigh next year, and will move to Sydney in 2022.

Think that's to finish high school ? I ask that not knowing how old he is, might already be done with high school.

Born 2002 so I’m assuming he’s graduating this year. My guess is that the uncertainty around startup times would be a factor, but given Fogerty isn’t coming back any time soon it’s possible an opportunity is there for him to get in to the top squad. From a development point of view you’d take a kid playing Q Cup over Jersey Flegg any day.

Rick Stone is coaching Burleigh now - so he’ll be in a good system.
