The SG Ball Comp is done, so this week is where we might see some of the U18 players come up in to 20's (like Metcalf, Salmon and Roumanos did last year). For Franklin Pele fans, keep an eye out for the big guy getting a run over the next little while :)

The JF 20's team are undefeated so far - 6 wins and a draw. Here's how their lineup has looked and a bit about some of the players.

You would expect a few representatives in each of the 18's and 20's rep sides this season (Qld, NSW) given how successful the both teams have been (the 18's were knocked out the week before the grand final. They beat one undefeated team in the first semi and lost to the other undefeated team in the GF qualifier by a field goal)

Top 15
14 of these guys have played every game (Lumelume has been out for a few and was replaced by Ferris)

5. Isaac Lumelume (NSW U20 2017) (has played one game for Newtown and missed a few injured)
6. Luke Jurd (played 20's last year and also for Newtown)
7. Braydon Trindall (played in the Storm's 20's last year as a 17-year-old)
-
8. Cruz Topai-Aveai
9. Harrison Smith
10. Monty Raper (Grandson of Monty Porter; great Nephew of Johnny Raper)
11. Teig Wilton (gun - NSW U18 2017)

No - he is an SG Ball player. What I mean is that he might be one of the players who comes up to the 20’s. He’s injured at the moment though I believe.

Seen him play a few games for Como A Grade (the club sends some of the players back to A Grade for a run), and he is apparently playing again in the curtain-raiser Sunday. Hard to compare the standards, but looks like a decent prospect as a 17-year old prop playing against much older players.

JF team played out a 22-all draw on the weekend. The lineup was much the same. Lumelume was out (NSW Cup) and James Russell started at hooker for Harrison Smith (out).

Another win for the 20’s. They are missing a few players at the moment. Xerri was out for rep duty and a few others are injured. I think I saw/heard somewhere that Topai-Aveai has broken his leg.

Jayden Millard (5/8) played his first game and Vito Tevaga (centre) was the first of the kids from the 18’s to get a run in 20’s.

Update on the 20's. They got smashed on the weekend 42-6. That's their first loss (they have 2 draws). They are 9-1-2 plus a bye - sitting on 22 points in first place.

Here's an update on the lineup. I've sorted them by position and also done some research on where they play if/when they are not selected.

- there is the local "A Grade" comp which is actually called The NSWRL South Eastern Conference Open Age "Gold". This is a seven team comp (Engadine, De La Salle, Kurnell, Como, Gymea, Hurstville and Paddington).
- there is also a local 20's comp, which is called the "Southern Conference Emerging Cup". This is a six team comp (Engadine, De La Salle, Como, Gymea, St.Josephs and Cronulla-Carringbah).

Fullback
Luke Polselli - has played every game

Wing
Christopher Tupou - has played every game
Isaac Lumelume - has been playing centre lately
Jackson Ferris (Gymea)

Centre
Bronson Xerri (u18) - didn't play on the weekend. Likely just rested after 18's origin.
Ronaldo Mulitalo - currently injured.
Vito Tevaga (u18) - played one game
Jonaiah Lualua (u18) - played one game

Halves
Luke Jurd - has also played one game at 9
Braydon Trindall - has played every game at 7

Hooker
Harrison Smith - has played most games
Jayden Millard - has also played one game at 6 (Gymea)
Lachlan Scarpelli - bench hooker/utility - currently injured
James Russell - has played most games (Gymea)

Prop/Lock
Cruz Topai-Aveai - currently injured
Monty Raper - has played every game
James Roumanos - has played every game
Kalani Pewhairangi-Charlie - has played most games as bench prop
Fine Kula - has played a handful of games as a bench forward (Como)

Back Row
Teig Wilton - has played every game
Josh Carr - has played every game
Blake Manowski - has played most games as a bench forward. Has played some prop
Thomas Caughlan - has played most games as a bench forward (De La Salle)

*** Listed but yet to play ***
Jackson Stewart (De La Salle)
Jonah Ngaronoa (Engadine)
Cooper Bowen (Engadine)
Tom Hazelton (Gymea)
Evander Swann (De La Salle)
Tom Harris (Engadine)
Lachlan Smith
Jack Gould
Amo Lualua
Joey Lose
Mason McCarthy (playing for the Guildford Owls in the Sydney Shield competition)
Clayton Uia

*** SG Ball (u18) Players

That's quite a smashing, do we have a few key players out with injuries ?

I think Scarpelli, Topai-Aveai and Mulitalo are all out long term. One has a broken leg but I only heard it once on the radio and didn't pick up which player it was. Xerri didn't play on the weekend. Harry Smith has also been in and out of the lineup the last few weeks so I think he has an ongoing complaint.

No real excuse though unless Parra ran a bunch of tries through the replacement players. Maybe they just turned in a stinker.
