Wilton is the best bet ... then ...

Mulitalo, Lumelume, Topai-Aveai, Kula, Carr

Smith, Scarpelli, Polselli and Trindall all go ok too for mine.

Isaac Longmuir (18’s hooker) is also a gun and I reckon he will get a run before the season is out.

I remember Wilton making his debut last year, didn't impress me overly but he was pretty young and new. I know he's got some wraps on him.

He's 2 years younger than all those blokes who were in the starting squad last year (Nikora etc.). No guarantees with young players but he's definitely one to keep an eye on.

Most of the team are actually turning 19 this year. I think only Topai-Aveai, Jurd, Carr, Lumelume and Polselli are turning 20. Possibly a few others, but most of that team were the SG Ball squad from last year.

I am a big Lumelume fan. Still time to grow into his size and look forward to him getting some game time with newtown later in the year and next year. Has quite a few wraps on hi but seems to have been struggling with a knee since last year.

Not sure where he has ended up but Eddie Faalua... young but last year in NYC has some impressive performances, some fifita like runs. Has size but a bit of an engine too. Props take longer to develop then the backs but look forward to see him to continue to grow over the next 18 months in the black white and blue.

Eddie is still under contract - he has been playing for Glebe. Check out the Newtown thread.

Luke Jurd and his brother Matthew were both named to the Australian Universities Rugby League team to tour South Africa.

Lane Ferling - who was in the Sharks 2017 NYC squad - is also in the team.

The SG Ball comp ended a while ago. He missed a fair bit of the season (injured I assume) and hasn’t appeared in the local comps. He didn’t make the NSW u18 origin team (he was in the pathways squad in January) but did make the NSW combined high school team. Xerri is in that team and so is Jonaiah Lualua. They play a carnival next week (15-20 July) at Kingscliff. If I can get a hold of the draw early enough I will try to get down to see at least one of their games.

Another Sharks SG Ball player, Kyle Pickering, made the combined Catholic schools team for the same carnival.

Clayton Uia is playing 20’s for Souths Logan.
Kyle Pickering (SG Ball.. turns 17 this year) apparently re-signed until the end of 2019. I need to confirm this.

Hazelton and Longmuir debuted today. Have been waitibg for Longmuir - he is highly rated.

In other news... Lumelume actually played today! Geez I wish that kid could string together six weeks of footy.
