Talking more about so we’re not risking him getting injured. If top 4 is locked up against the knights I’d be resting half our bloody side.

Yeah last 10-15 last week we got Toby hurt, Tieg binned, Jesse went down, ugly hit on Dykes - I just wanted fulltime. Job was done just wanted to get out as healthy as possible.

If we were to have 2nd locked up you definitely rest as many as possible. Blayke can wait till next year to play his brother.

For the sake of it, we could run out as:

1. Dykes
2. Ikavalu
3. Hiroti
4. Iro
5. Lualua
6. Miller
7. Trindall
8. Hazleton
9. Berrell
10. Fifita (C)
11. Wilton
12. Colqhoun
13. Tolman

14. Metcalf
15. Pele
16. Martin
17....... Rivett? Probably one of our starter forwards like Hunt if we have run out of middles.

Wouldn't that be disrespectful to Newcastle?

How the **** are we gonna have 2nd locked up?
Cowgirls lose the next 3,

We then apply for special dispensation an hour before kick-off due to a bus accident on way to Newcastle where our entire first grade team got 'injured'. Miraculously they are all OK the next day

Apparently this bloke has been training the house down and is giving Brailey a serious run for his money. If brailey’s form does dip again I’d like to see this bloke be given a crack.

Wasn't that said last season and he never even got a look in?

Personally I thought it would have been smart to find a game during our easy run to get him a debut off the bench.
Means he had at least tasted NRL should something bad have happened to Brailey. He did have an injury or two (maybe a suspension?) if I recall which may have scuppered that plan though.

Think he was injured mid year for around 6-8 weeks?

All the commentators seem to be pushing against 80 min hookers in general, so maybe there'll be a chance for Berrell as part of the rotation if Fitz agrees.
I'm more for that than having Cam slot in at this stage.

I like Cam slotting in by starting and Blayke playing 60ish from there. Wouldn't use that every week necessarily but I think for certain match ups not a bad idea.
I don't like using Cam there otherwise, unless obviously Blayke gets a knock or is fatiguing and could use a breather or early finish.
Obviously if Blayke needs to come off mid game then Cam is the answer.

Against bigger forward packs definitely start cam at 9 for first 15 minutes. Then brailey can finish there. No point having brailey play 80 minutes every week if we have other options.

Missed rounds 2-6 injured, then only one other game though the regular season (rd20). Didn't play the semi-final loss to Penrith. Likely suspended from the brawl previous week.

I don't get the obsession people have with starting Cam at hooker. The logic of "start the bigger, tougher guy in defence" is fine, but if I'm trying to get the upper hand early on a bigger pack than mine, I'll take the guy with the cleaner, crisper service out of dummy half every time.

I don't really rate McInnes at hooker at all. His passing isn't up to snuff. He's a good plan b and is great for a sneaky try from 1m out through.

I do see value in Cam starting in the 9 from a defensive perspective, but I'm not sure he's a first string hooker now and I wouldn't be satisfied with a plan to just play conservatively for the first spell. That's a bit old skool I reckon.

Not opposed to starting the year with Cam playing the first 20 at hooker if it's a wake up call for Brailey.

Coming on after 20 means there'll be an expectation on him to change the game and run the ball a bit - two things he desperately needs to do more of.

Let him play like that for the first few weeks then tell him to do it for 80.
