Re Jack, he’s been going well 90% of the time, he’s got rid of the ‘Pomeroy disease’ that plagued him for the past few seasons.
He plays above his weight, I seen him a few months back @ Westfield & was surprised he was as small as he was.

Sure you didn't see the other one?

Anyone who struggles to see the footballer in this bloke has his eyes painted on. Will thrive next year in a tight defensive system & with a well defined role in attack.

There was one game last year would’ve been his best games for us where he was at 13 and passing the ball in between the forwards a lot. It worked so well, not sure why we went away from it

Good to see him get the chance to start, and not go backwards. Great call by the coach (cough called it first cough).
And yeah, the effort on Thompson was soft, but to be fair the bloke was on a tear.

He did enough to keep things the same this week

Come on Jack - you are better than that. Get back to basics mate of running and tackling hard. No need for extra fast play the balls.

worst game of the year

Probably was his worst game of the year, although I thought second drop should have been a penalty and if it had been don't think many would be talking about him negatively

80 min effort on the edge from a bench middle

Yep, only one genuine error. How Puma could single him out from our forward pack for criticism I don't know.

I'm sure Puma wasn't entirely impressed with the rest of our forwards either so I don't think Jack is being singled out. and regardless of jack having to fill in at second row for longer than bench minutes that he is used to playing it still was one of his poorer games this year , how much slack you wanna cut him is up to you but the fact remains.

this also stands out as he has been so fantastic coming off the bench as a middle all season this was a step backwards from where his performances have been

his stats don't read too bad but his runs lacked the usual line punching impact and those 2 ptb errors hurt him. compared to where he was 12 months ago in this team, you could prob say he had a solidish game but I think the errors trigger flashbacks for us fans unfairly or not

Young forward makes errors. Has inconsistent performances, particularly when his role & requirements change.

Mind blowing observations.
