I think Williams could do a job there but I don't think he'd necessarily be a better option than Wilton or Talakai. He's been great in the middle and I'd prefer to keep him there.

Also McInnes will 100% be a starter.

Given how good this guy has been playing and how he has handled playing centre and second row to cover for injuries.

Curious to know if you guys think he could be a potential second row option if we hit our forward targets?

8. Finucane
9. Brailey
10. Liu
11. Williams
12. Graham
13. Rudolf

14. McInnes (I wouldn't start him at lock, but could start Rudolf off the bench instead.)
15. Talaki
16. BHU
17. Tolman/Wilton/Nikora/Hunt

What he’s doing now is working. Don’t ****ing fiddle with it.

Have said previously I thought Williams has been our most consistently good performer in forwards, was good again this week

That tackle right on the try line was fantastic. The high tackle crackdown is highlighting what a fantastic low defender this guy is. I love seeing players tackle instead of cuddle.

We've got a couple of brick walls in Jack and Talakai. Love watching them defend

I don't think he is getting enough minutes. Tolman played 76 and Toby 60 today. Jack only played 36.

He’s been good this year but not sure I’d want him doing much more than 40 if not necessary

Making such a difference from the bench. The whole bench is working well. Could have started today with Toby off the bench, his type of starch was needed in the middle

he's been fantastic don't mess with his minutes and risk bringing fatigue back into his game or tempt him to look at passing, that's where alot of the bad Jack Williams came from - he is looking fitter though not getting gassed within 10 minutes

short simple burst from the bench, puts his head down and gives it everything. keep him away from the 13 and backrow and we are golden

bloke had obviously been reading my pre 2021 post about him and decided hey **** you Gards
so gunna take credit for his turn around

cheers

Does anyone know how many minutes Jack played?

Seemed to be out there a lot and did well.

He didn’t play 80 did he?

67. I thought he was great today. Definitely pushed off the myth that he can't start.

he went fairly well but his defense suffered with the longer minutes. despite topping our PCM and overall second for total metres we arn't going to get as much quality charges up the field consistently. still he went better than I thought he would, something to build on until we lock down our permanent 13 next season
