I thought it would be a good idea to keep all the International Football talk in one place. So in this thread we can talk any International Football from anywhere, any age group. Europe, Asia, Olympics etc. Should be fun fellas.
Anyway AFC have finally made announcement regarding the rest of the Asian World Cup Qualifers. Australia currently sit top of their group in the second round of qualifying with a perfect 12 points from 4 games, with 4 to play.
I haven’t been able to find any exact dates yet (when I do, I’ll do a fixture list) but from what is understood it’ll look something like this:
March 2021: Kuwait (h), Nepal (a) (would of been a banging away trip just quietly)
June 2021: Chinese Taipai (h), Jordan (h)
September 2021: Final Round of qualifying begins with a view for it to be finished by June 2022.
The World Cup in Qatar starts in November 2022.
Expect at least one friendly for the Socceroos, possibly against New Zealand in February.
