Michelle Payne, the first woman jockey to win the Melbourne Cup, has hit back at her doubters after riding Prince of Penzance to victory at Flemington.
Payne was ecstatic after the race and could hardly contain her excitement after riding the 100-1 outsider to victory at Flemington.
Payne said it was a dream come true and was proud to prove people wrong in a sport she described as "chauvinistic sport" while also telling the doubters to "get stuffed".
Relax it's one race. She's getting way to carried away with it
What is she doing out of the kitchen?
IF YOU think you have a hard luck story to tell from this year’s Melbourne Cup, imagine how this unlucky punter feels.
Having put down $5 on a four-leg multi at the juicy odds of 27702/1 this gambler must have been pretty excited when the first three legs saluted.
There was just one race left, and our savvy investor had more riding on Prince Of Penzance than Michelle Payne, as a win in the Cup would see them collect $138,510.
But then they lost their nerve and accepted an early payout of $441.20 after the third leg.

Years of pent up frustration coming out. Can't blame her. I don't see how she's getting carried away?
I want to say to everyone else, get stuffed, because women can do anything and we can beat the world.
maybe we would if we played a sport that it takes over 150 years to beat them lolLol didn't hear the "we can beat the world" bit. Yeah that's a bit over the top, but still, she would have copped a lot of **** in that industry just because of her gender. We will never understand how that feels.

NSW Premier Mike Baird has announced a ban on greyhound racing, after the state government considered an 800-page report tabled by a Special Commission into "widespread cruelty" in the industry.
Former High Court judge Michael McHugh oversaw the Special Commission - which was sparked in the wake of ABC's Four Corners investigation to the industry - and presented his report to Deputy Premier and Racing Minister Troy Grant last month.
In a media release and Facebook post on Thursday morning, Mr Baird said the government planned to close down the industry which directly employs more than 1000 people.
Haha yeah i can see the Wentworth Park track not becoming high rise apartments...Baird says that the land will go back to the local communities.
You watch, within 2 years he'll announce that refunding industry stakeholders has cost hundreds of millions and that the land has to be sold to his property developing mates to cover the costs.
