With deference to Endevour Shark I'd like you to post the names of men who have displayed true courage, grit, a solid work ethic and plenty of man-made metres up the front for their team/s over the years.

I'll start the ball rolling with Les Davidson.

He was hard as a pair of cement boots and had a right and left swing which were capable of eliminating the memory of anyone who dared to give him cheek.

He played for the Bunnies, Sharks, NSW and Australia.

At 96kg, he featured in both the Prop and Second Row positions.

He was justifiably feared by his peers.

Well done Les Davidson!

Mods, if you have the time I'd be happy for you to add a few of Endevour's earlier posts on the subject and make this his thread.

That's if endevour likes the idea of course.

Little Dave Boughton used to run at the opposition like a madman. (He was a second rower but it was news to him, he sure didn't act like one)

Big old Danny Lee moved like a sloth but had arms like an orangutan and paws like a bear,

players would think they were past him but he'd throw those big arms out and lasso them from behind and grind them into the dirt.

Loved the Ox. I was at a game at Parra Stadium which we won but a fair bit. Parra made a break with less than a minute to go and the big Ox chased for ~30 metres or so and made the tackle. Great stuff.

Hypothetical conundrum.

A Harmen prop is passed the ball from the dummy half 20 metres out from the try line. A massive gap exists in the defensive line and the prop will score if he continues his run. A pretty boy winger is backing up on the outside.

A Harmen Prop does not score tries and cannot pass.

What does he do?

Rips his own head off and throws it at the fullback. This creates a gap and he scores.

The headless harmen rides again.
