Official GRAND FINAL 2016 Cronulla Sutherland Sharks v Melbourne Storm, Sunday 2 October 7:15pm @ANZ Stadium

I believe Jack said in a recent interview that he regrets leaving. Such a shame, sometimes chasing the money isn’t the correct option.
All well and good to say it in hindsight but you did what you did Jack

I’m throwing Holmes into the same category too.

I know that he had that Townsville itch and has kept rep jumpers, but imagine if he had stayed.

As it stands he’s back living in his Cronulla unit but he’s playing for those bottom feeders St George, with a real chance to collect a wooden spoon next season.

There’s gotta be a regret or 2.

100% I also think he would have been a long term fullback for us rather than a centre.

Saw the legends down at Cronulla. Thought, who is the 15 year old hanging with them, peeked under the cap and…The Chad. Now, 10 points for guessing what other 15 year old accessory The Chad sported not shown in the photo.
e-bike?

He might also have had regrets if he didn't try the NFL thing
Yeah I think he'd wish he was playing these last few years at the Sharks, but can't imagine he'd have any overall regrets.

Never seemed like the type who would ever have cared about being a one-club player anyway (whereas I think Bird would have appreciated that more now in hindsight).

"Regrets, I've had a few... but then again, too few to mention..."

His career was more damaged by injury than him leaving, and with his condition that was always a possibility.

Well we will never know now. Maybe Cronulla would have been better at managing his condition than Brisbane was. He seemed a lot happier living down here, maybe that more settled life in Cronulla would have helped his motivation to do all the little extra 1%ers to help manage his condition.

Or maybe not, we’ll never know.

Certainly possible. I just guess with his condition injuries were always expected.

Definitely would've had more of an opportunity to really cement himself as a legend for our club.

Probably now just going to be remembered as one of the wingers who won the premiership with us.
