Powerful 5 mins for De Belin. Flops on the 4th then stays too long, gives away 6 again. Follows up with 2x third man in at the legs with force, warned by ref and then stands still as Nicholls runs past him to score. Followed up by a couple more flops then another third man in, this one forceful again at the knee. Penalised, still doesn't understand. Captain btw.

Has anyone doubted Bennett?

Be impossible to, considering what he’s achieved
I doubt he could tell you what day it is without help, but the bloke could teach rugby league to chimpanzees. Would make for a good reality tv show too.

There was an Australian Story on him back in the 90s, really good watch.

That wasn't doubting Bennett mate. They tried to lure plenty of big names but failed. Their squad looked pretty average on paper.

But it wasnt though. It wasnt a wooden spoon team on paper. Look at that forward pack, full of pros and experience. The fact that people thought Wayne wouldnt get the best out of these guys and finish them out of the wooden spoon spot was doubting Wayne imo.

It's also a pretty old pack. Their 1-7 looked very average on paper, I thought they'd struggle to score points.

Agree to disagree with you on this, I've never doubted Bennett.

He's got a better quality of football out of them than anybody ever expected , especially the backline . Plus he's given them a sense of belief .
