Arthur has no experience losing the first three games of the season so he got Barrett to address the player's after the game
Imagine how good TB’s dressing downs will be at 0 and 5.
He is the most experienced at it and are legendary I‘m led to believe. Although the Tigers players could also offer up some advice here.

Says everything about their culture that this is accepted.

Honestly, if any of our players took that option, missing 4 games for the sake of saving 4k, I'd want the club to flick them. Even if it was Nicho.

Such a shitty attitude.
Absolutely. Missing games through injury or suspension is torture for every player you hear from.

I'm with you I wouldn't blink on turfing whoever it was if anyone put out that bullshit.

I think it was a bit of a protest on Matto's behalf. Trying to stand his ground to give the NRLPA a bit of a leg to stand on when they push back against player fines in the CBA.

He does have a point, but what he needed to realise is that a bloke who has a team change more often than an oil change is probably not going to get a whole lot of empathy from the fans.

Personally I think fines should be reserved for breach of conduct stuff (off field etc.). If players make mistakes on the field they shouldn't be financially penalised. In 99% of cases that's what we are talking about here. Mis-timing a tackle, making an error of judgement, etc.

He definitely was trying to make a point but you're still letting your team and fans down.

No chance in hell a Bellamy or Bennett allow that to happen. I highly doubt Fitz would, either.

It's a **** act.

Agree in principle but it also makes sense to have a tier of punishment that doesn't cause suspensions from minor things.
Not sure what another good option would be there

My natural assumption was that the clubs would surreptitiously pay for the fines
Yeah, me too. Obviously not though. Comes out of players' pockets.

Yeah - need a middle ground.

Moses showed why he is overpaid last tonight.
Moses wasn't the reason they lost. He is who kept them in the game.
He lost not converting
He had a bad night with conversions. But a lot of kickers do. Nicho has had some shockers.
Oh sure he had a bad night with the boot. Like every other player at some point. He also through some good passes for a couple of their trys
Yeah - Moses is a good player and a big reason they got close to Manly. Pretty sure the coach didn't go out with a game plan of conceding 6 tries and having Moses out-dual Garrick in a conversion contest.

This actually isn't the worst game, Newcastle are having a go. Credit to the gumby Crossland he might screw up at hooker but he has made 25 tackles, 0 missed so far.

Jk they updated and gave him a missed tackle.

Jjk they removed the missed tackle again.
