So...my quarter-century birthday came and went last weekend and as a bit of as a surprise gift, my wife (despite depleting our funds in anticipation of the arrival of offspring number one this week) found it in her heart to allow me to make a bid on one of the jersey's of my choice as long as I didn't go overboard with my bidding. Consequentially, I made a last minute bid on Fergo's jersey and was pleased to have won it at the death.

So when I asked my wife why the sudden angelic leniency, she showed me this: http://tiny.cc/0mFLg

Yup, you guessed it, my signed 2009 HERITAGE jersey on eBay! Somehow she managed to sneak it under my account without my knowing!

The lesson, as always: Women are Evil! :hissy

She flogged off your jersey behind your back?

25 hey
at 25 i was still trying to slut my body to as many women as possible (unfortunatley never reached any dizzy numbers) not through want of trying....
now 15 years later happily married 2 wonderful little girls.. now sat nite's cuddle up to them and watch the sharks try to destroy our opposition... much more fun than cruising around town trying to get a cab at 2am in the morning with blue balls!!!!

Do you ever sometimes think that if you knew at 25 what you know now, you would have been a lot more successful? :D

In my own way, I do! If I had known at seventeen (fresh out of high school) what I know now at the age of twenty-five, I wouldn't have rushed to finish my journalism degree and would've travelled the world and actually lived as a free spirit for a few years. The things you learn in hindsight...

Just thought I'd update this story because against all odds, it does have a happy ending after all.

With the money raised from selling my Signed '09 Heritage Jersey I was able to recoup enough money to put towards Fergo's Round 1 Game Worn Member's Jersey, Dougies Game Worn Heritage Round Jersey and, my personal favourite...(drumroll please)...a limited edition leather bound copy of Gary Lester's Colour Me Black, White and Blue that is signed by Tommy Bishop, Monty Porter, Steve Rogers, Gavin, Miller, Greg Pierce, Andrew Ettingshausen, and David Peachey.

The collection rolls on :D

have you read your copy yet? Im to scared to read mine. i mean iv flipped through it but at the moment it just sits still in the box that it comes in just opening it up every now and then someone wants to see it.
Iv been tempted but to get signed (on the page beside the other signatures) Paul Gallens signature since he is the next club legend for us and possibly Douglas... maybe after he signs with us for another 5 years
