I'm pointing to the fact it's made more money in 16 days then any type of entertainment ever.
Movies/music/sports events.
Fact is video games are what's cool and the norm. Kids can make more money faster from becoming pro Guitar Hero players then actually learning a real guitar and joining a geeky little band, wearing geeky band t-shirts.
Go into to JayJay or any other shop trying to cash in on the latest in items, there full of old school games, Mario, Sonic, Donkey kong you name it. I don't see a bunch of slash shirts or system of the down crap out there. Not unless you have a geek convention like soundwave or Splender or big day out. Then all the little nerds come out with there fav band shirts lol. It's kinda cute I guess.
