He's depth signing, there to cover injuries. I'd love us to have the same great run with injuries next year but we need to be covered and Mortimer offers cover in a few positions and has heaps of first grade experience. Better than Cherrington.

Don't know about that. I don't know how we're going with recruiting another hooker, but against the current batch he's got far more experience. And Flanno will usually lean towards experience. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets first crack unless we sign someone else.

Agree which is what worries me. Would much rather go Nu, Brailey and/or Cherrington. I'd be pretty disappointed if this spud gets in the way of Nu or Brailey in particular.
