I wonder if he will be back :unsure:
supposed to be back last week

nup didn't happen
Yeah he was, but had a minor calf strain and we thought we didn’t need him so we left him out

It’s probably not some deep HIA conspiracy

Bloke in a Bar has released a pod cast with Dale from a couple of weeks ago. Goes for nearly 2 hours. Really good to listen to.

Makes the time go fast sitting in Sydney traffic!

Thanks guys, will definitely listen to this on the way home from work this afternoon - it's about a one hour drive for me.
I usually listen to Talkin' Sport but I'm a bit over some of the callers at the moment - Adrian, Shano, Miffed (the Manly narq), Treadmill Bruce (the Dragons nark), Buttons (another Dragons nark), and others who come on there drunk, or can't string two words together.

Yeh I am sick of commercial radio during the week. My weekly driving is pretty much:

Bloke in a bar (they do both a week in review and preview)

Sharks Podcast

Yeh me too. The part about Ennis' leadership at the Bulldogs was great.
Yeah enjoyed that, wonder how many times he’s dropped the line on a rookie since?
Thought Kempy might ask

For those who can’t/won’t listen most of first half (I’m 55mins in) is very ‘Dale’ oriented about his league journey to NRL and music.

One good bit of footy insight which was interesting regarding impact of bench players.

Explained while he was in his second year and a regular in the team he often didn’t know whether he would play 30 or 60 which made it tricky for him to know how to apply himself, not to say he would take it easy to make sure he had energy for 60 but there is other stuff you can work on if you know you’ll be out there longer.

Examples he gave we’re getting a good read and building regular pressure on their half when out on field longer.
Also that then it was popular to run a forward off the scrum and he thought if he wasn’t going to be on long he could put his hand up for the run but James Graham explained that interrupts his thing where he wants to take a few runs himself and then try catch opposition unaware with a tip on, or maybe give a few tip ons and then try dummy and go himself.

Something I have been semi conscious of myself as a player (as it applies to me) but probably haven’t thought about too much watching NRL.
We are often critical of players in different roles but we don’t know elements of the dynamic like this, we ask why Nikora doesn’t take a few extra hit ups but should we consider maybe the middles don’t want him too?

Yeah Treadmill Bruce and Buttons (John) are a bit dodgy and always have a bad word to say about the Sharks but I do like Andrew (Sharks supporter). I enjoy his banter with the boys. Apparently he and Treadmill Bruce went out to a pub to watch Melbourne v Sharks game a few weeks ago. They keep giving it to each other.
