Dale will need to hit the ground running when he returns next Saturday. All of our forwards have stepped up in the last three games while he has been away and with BHU now out for a while, he is going to have to take his place and keep our go-forward going.
Can't believe you're calling for Dale to be dropped!

Haven't been missing this guy as much as we probably should

Good in the sense that the other forwards have stepped up in his and Rudolf's absence but bad in the sense that perhaps Dale just isn't as valuable a signing as we hoped

He is kinda like Tolman with more leg speed and while I loved Tolman and it is not a bad thing to have a tackle bot that makes some carries Dale just doesn't feel as critical to this team as I thought he would be.

He was starting to go better though his last couple games prior to suspension and I think is going to be a useful inclusion come finals time for his experience but I really hope McInnes's role as starting 13 is left alone - the team have been humming along nicely with this setup

Think though Dale's contributions are more than just on-field. Although if he could stop with the suspensions that would be great.

Feels like his value was always as much about the off field stuff. Some of those early Burgo-stats around how well we performed with and without him told a pretty compelling story.

I reckon it'd be fair to say the teams improvements are down to guys like him and Mcinness as much as Fitz.

Average stats last night, 7 runs for 40m and 22 tackles/3 missed tackles, hopefully he can get some games together and get match fit. Otherwise might be a long 2.5 years.

It is one thing I have been paying attention to when he is out there, he always looks gassed. Unsure if it is general match fitness or what. Was stoked when we signed him, but starting to question how it is going to pan out over the next few years with him showing signs already that he may not be able to keep up, and ultimately add anything to the team. In a way, he and Wade are similar at the moment in that regard. In my opinion anyway.

I could be well wrong, but did we offer him one more year on the contract than the other suitors to get him here?

I believe so but on a reduced amount for the final year (We may have propped up the first 3 to compensate for that lower year).

He isn’t quite living up to his reputation on the field yet but I’m sure what he brings off the field in regards to training and game prep (together with Cam) is one aspect that the club wanted them both for.
