Serious question, would you prefer Fitz or Flanno?
Way too early, we’ve only seen Fitz for 4 rounds, hasn’t had to go through adversity and all that kind of thing - I love that both of them seem ruthless and players don’t want to even dare let them down. They both have players playing in the best form of their career

Flanno was a sick man manager if Fitz can keep his cattle motivated and ready for war for as long as Flanno did then Fitz deserves to be up there.

What adversity? Do you mean the drug scandal, salary cap scandal, lying to the NRL, emailing the club while on suspension?
Let's hope Fitz doesn't go through any of that!

And don't get me wrong Wiz, I did like Flanno and hoped he would be a long term coach for us. Sadly it hasn't worked out. I like his commentary on Fox and you get to hear a bit about the real Flanno when he joins the Continuous Call Team.

In playing style? A bit of each - but it's about personnel. Biggest difference for me is how the back rowers are playing. Flanno changed the way the team played around the fact both his back rowers were former halves. That was a really big deal.

Fitz hasn't (so far) had back rowers who pass the ball, but most of his middle forwards are all going to be kicked out of the front-rowers association because of how much short, crisp passing they are all doing. If Wade could get some time on the park and our right edge back rower was someone like Ryan Matterson or Mitch Dunn, maybe Fitz could blend those two things together. I'm not sure either Nikora or Wilton are suited to it though.

I'm happy enough for our backrowers to not be ball players when they are running and tackling as hard as they are

we cut them out and throw it straight to our centres on alot of wide shifts anyway and I am liking that
i worry if we mess with it too much

in a conversation like this, that stuff is irrelevant.

Adversity as in injuries, losing streaks, player behaviour etc things that coaches have to go through sometimes.. it’s a question about coaching ability the conversation isn’t about outside stuff let’s keep it at that

All good mate, totally agree. Hopefully we can sail through it with minimum disruptions. He saw it at the Roosters quite a bit and even though he wasn't HC he would have had to deal with a bit of it. I'm pretty confident he can handle it.

Not his best game.

He'll be so upset with himself that he probably won't make another error for the next 3 years.

even with those errors and not being his best game he was still solid, made nearly all his tackles and he was running onto the ball pretty hard. seem to take it up a notch with his carries, was energetic

unlikely to see the errors from him 2 weeks in a row or many times over the course of a season . he will be more filthy than anyone about it

He will be harder on himself and the team than Fitz i reckon , he knows what we are heading into next week . Everybody will be expecting us to get a reality check but i think we will see a much more focused team next week , we will be ready for the grind , will Melbourne .

I'll be at the game.

Fitz already has me thinking about how I can improve my role as a supporter.
