CRONULLA:
1. Brett Kearney - 8
stick with bird and you will be top try scorer my friend. ran the ball more from hooker and early passes, rather he saved himself a little more but went good
2. Misi Taulapapa - 6
really enthusiastic and involved
3. Ben Pomeroy - 7
best of the centers and wingers as per usual. played pretty well
4. David Simmons - 6
one of his best performances. the goodwin dropping seems to have given him the kick in the pants required to start lifting his game

top notch work from halfback again
8. Kade Snowden - 7

zakspiders' ratings for Cronulla vs North Queensland (NRL Premiership, Round 9, 2008)

CRONULLA:
1. Brett Kearney - 7

11. Paul Gallen - 9
m.o.m. twice in 2 days.doesn't get better than this bloke(see lock though.)
12. Luke Douglas - 8
not convinced he's a backrower and think he needs to be rested to get the most out of him.in 2 years time he'll be a 1st choice rep player at all levels.

so much improvement.didn't have his best game tonight but still gave all.
15. Dustin Cooper - 5

16. Terence Seu Seu - 5
see above.
17. Bryan Norie - 6
a work in progress.got some nice balls away in set moves tonight but don't know if he's the long term answer for the teams needs(would find it hard to hold a spot with douglas, ross, gallen, bird, toupo, williams, anderson, snowden, selmes, peek all fit and playing well.)

NORTH QUEENSLAND:
7. Johnathan Thurston - 7
frustrated game-go the sharks.was still dangerous though.we stood off him too much at times.
8. Ray Cashmere - 7
imagine packing down against him and snowden in a front row!
10. Carl Webb - 7
not bad for a bloke who backed up from yesterday.
12. Luke O'Donnell - 7
would love to have him.
14. Anthony Watts - 7

1. Brett Kearney - 7
Was again brilliant backing up Bird (just keep running off him Kearney!)- needs to tighten up his communication with others when under high balls
2. Misi Taulapapa - 6
Dropped the ball from over enthusiasm- much as last year. I think we either play Misi and get more spark and more errors or choose to keep our attack down but have reduced errors.
3. Ben Pomeroy - 6
Wasn't a game for centres, but Pomeroy was solid.
4. David Simmons - 7
Simmons improved a lot from last game- his defense against a potent Cowboys backline was excellent
5. Luke Covell - 5
Quiet, kicking was better, looked the most vulnerable point in our wide defense. We still miss the Luke of old...
6. Brett Seymour - 7
Made a few errors, and short kicking game was off, BUT had a great defensive game and passed well. Looks like a version of Dykes in his more classic 5/8 play, but can tackle.
7. Brett Kimmorley - 9
Had an excellent game- a slight blemish from missing Webb (but so did two forwards) for the try that got the Cowboys back in the game, but his long kicking was again superb, and his running game is back as good as ever.
8. Kade Snowden - 7
Looked good- I could grow to like Snowden if he plays with the power he did tonight and gets more game time.
9. Isaac De Gois - 7
Solid running game, his passing ahs been a little down this year and tonight was no different. Sharks looked better when he was on.
10. Danny Nutley - 8
His best game for us in his return to the black, white and blue. Many big hits and even bigger hit ups. Didn't play like a bonehead.
11. Paul Gallen - 9
Brilliant game from a brilliant player. He was the hardest player to put to the ground all night.
12. Luke Douglas - 8
Excellent game with less game time than normal. Much prefer Douglas as a 70 minute prop, but his impact was still very high.
13. Greg Bird - 8
Solid game- quiet by his very high standards, but still set up a try and mangled opponents who dared to step within tackling range
14. Fraser Anderson - 7
Looks to be a complete back rower- fast, powerful, and looking more skilled than when he was at centre. Limited involvement but high quality input, and excellent given he returned from injury
15. Dustin Cooper - 5
Not really up to the standard of the other forwards- didn't tackle as hard or run as hard. Made too many errors.
16. Terence Seu Seu - 5
Looks great when running from dummy half, but that is the only area he shined. Passing and tackling need work.
17. Bryan Norie - 7
Had some clever touches, and looked powerful. Hope to see more of him.

Boundos' ratings for Cronulla vs North Queensland (NRL Premiership, Round 9, 2008)

CRONULLA:
1. Brett Kearney - 8
another solid performance
2. Misi Taulapapa - 7
Poor handling a couple of times but looked ot get involved a hell of a lot more than Goodwin does. Also made a few semi line breaks.
3. Ben Pomeroy - 5
I thought Pomms was a bit quiet this game.
4. David Simmons - 5
Rubbish. gave nothing in attack, and had a barely adequate defense
5. Luke Covell - 5
4/5 kicking was the only highlight of his game.
6. Brett Seymour - 6
I thought his offense choices were severly lacking. Seemed to be running off the cuff most times with no direction to the outside backs as to what was coming. Played well defensivley though
7. Brett Kimmorley - 8
had a great game. best I have seen him play in years
8. Kade Snowden - 8
Solid game. Look forward to seeing more of this kid
9. Isaac De Gois - 4
Rubbish balls a plenty from dummy half. Gotta get quality pill to the halves if we are going to be dangerous
10. Danny Nutley - 7
Solid performance. Went hard all game
11. Paul Gallen - 8
As above
12. Luke Douglas - 8
As above
13. Greg Bird - 8
Ran the team well and played well considering backing up from friday night
14. Fraser Anderson - 5
Played ok. Should be looking to get more involved
15. Dustin Cooper - 5
Wasnt impressed. Silly penalty's.
16. Terence Seu Seu - 6
I thought he added a spark to the offense when he came on.

sharks195's ratings for Cronulla vs North Queensland (NRL Premiership, Round 9, 2008)

CRONULLA:
1. Brett Kearney - 8
Solid as always, scored a good try too.
2. Misi Taulapapa - 4
Didn't see much of him, but of what I saw he seemed like he was a bit lost.
3. Ben Pomeroy - 7
Dangerous in attack and defence, really cemented his spot.
4. David Simmons - 4
Very average, I'll be suprised if he isn't dropped, he had some good runs, but not cut out for first grade at the moment.
5. Luke Covell - 6
Finally he is kicking some goals, I'll give him one last chance next week though, he was decent, but nothing very special.
6. Brett Seymour - 8
Did a mountain of work in defence, a bit quiet in attack, but overall he had a good impact.
7. Brett Kimmorley - 10
Never seen him play so well, 2 try assists (the same amount he had for the season, before yhis match), solid in defence, kicking game was superb, easily the best on the field and thoroughly deserved man of the match. If he keeps up these sorts of performances it will be very sad to see him leave the club.
8. Kade Snowden - 7
Fairly average, added a lot of grunt in attack and defence, similar build to Douglas, so it looks like a promising Front Row.
9. Isaac De Gois - 7
His best game this season, but he isn't up to where he was last year, maybe he doesn't care for the club anymore?
10. Danny Nutley - 7
Solid, but average.
11. Paul Gallen - 9
Scored a very soft try and really was one of the best after Kimmorley, especially backing up from the Test.
12. Luke Douglas - 9
Played very well, great try and was as solid as ever.
13. Greg Bird - 9
Had a better impact than he did in the Test match, but I guess he is more suited to playing with Kimmorley than Thurston.
14. Fraser Anderson - 8
Great impact as we have some to expect from him playing in the backrow, good try too.
15. Dustin Cooper - 6
He is playing ok, I want to see him play a bit more, otherwise Peek can com in for him.
16. Terence Seu Seu - 1
Didn't even notice when (or if) he went on the field.
17. Bryan Norie - 7
Solid as ever, very strong defender, I really like him in defence.
