What's SAP/Dev ?
Skills accelerated program/development.

Kids try our for it, if they get picked they train twice per week instead of once and have a coach.

My son only tried out because his mates did, was never going to get picked.

I know a family who have to pay $10 per kid per training session - just for normal training every Tuesday and Thursday night.

Apparently because they’re bringing in good coaches.

That's OK if the parents want to to do it, but their should be the usual 'community' option as well which is run by volunteers.

Highlights:

Just prior to this annual report going to print, Novm (formerly Aoyuan) and their construction contractors Parkview are preparing to handover the Sharks Leagues Club cold shell to us for fit out and completion. With plans nearly finalised it will be full steam ahead as we work towards an October to November 2023 Club opening.

I can share that the group reported a profit before tax of $688,639. Sharks at Kareela reported a profit of $1,106,047, another fantastic result and considerably outperforming budgeted expectations. The Cronulla Leagues Club reflects a profit or $130,564 through the investment of our funds that are under management through Metric Investments, while continuing to include the incurred cost of the League Club development. The Football Club returned a loss of $547981, outperforming budgeted expectations and forecasts.

They must be pretty happy with the purchase of Kareela then.

$1.1m profit when it only cost them $4.6m. Another couple years and it’s paid for itself already. Was also valued at like $12m at the time, purchased just before Covid, since then land and property has only grown in value.

Be interesting to see what the new Leagues club can add profit after renovations

Yeah that will be interesting. Patronage should be better with all the units around.

The place was a bit of a ghost town outside of game days in the past.

Yeah units and even the Hotel next door you would think should boost sales. Everyone on holiday and business likes to indulge in drink and feed.

Hopefully people in the area like shiny new things
