You see any chance of us climbing out of the hole Fitz?

While there's life there's hope - I suspect there will always be a Sharks but I'm not too sure anymore that they'll be playing out of Endeavour, or whether Endeavour will even exist. The Club regularly fails to impress as an on-going business concern - I believe that is systemic and structural as well as cultural and the people.

It gets a bit tedious having our own toil of Sisyphus though.

I hope we somehow manage to stay playing from home. I feel that if we were required to play out of one of the major stadiums it would be an easier step to relocate us. Better something than nothing though of course.

Thanks for the updates. Agree, it wears you down after a while.

Don't think NRL can stop him. If only our club actually wanted the poor bloke. But he was a head coach who had control and bought too many paper clips...

Anyone know the process for finding the new CEO?

Is it advertised nationally. do we use an HR consultant. or is it a behind closed doors/jobs for the boys sort of deal?

Why would the Club want him in an executive capacity?

This comment represents the actual stupidity of the whole situation.

Stop appointing footy heads to financial, governance and decision making roles - that is not in their skill-set.

Happy to see people who have business acumen and may have happened to have played footy be members of Boards or maybe in an administrative capacity.

But can we stop putting ex-footy players on Boards or worse still, make them CEOs?

I doubt Flanno would have any interest in a CEO job, let alone any qualifications.

lol Fitz I was referring to those at the club that apparently wanted him gone and didn't like the way he operated even though he is the only coach ever to win a premiership here (kinda a big deal)

you can't honestly expect I was serious about him being an Exec - maybe head up procurement, can get us some deals on frozen chicken and chips and plumb up our own Shark brewery under the gym to drive those game day margins

Agree with you in regards to the caliber and type of applicants we should be aspiring for in high level positions

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this aspect.

Nominations for board positions closed before the salary cap decision was announced and clear cheating was confirmed.

Members of the current board including the Chairmen were on the board when clearly the club went to great lengths to cheat, even if they weren't part of it surely they knew and if they didn't they were derelict in their duty.

However when nominations closed members did not know about the cheating. Therefore there has been no opportunity for a ticket of 'clean' potential directors to nominate against those who surely knew of wrong doing.

Surely that is unfair on the members?

Agreed. Also, I don't know much about finance (at all), but where the **** has all this supposed development money gone?

If we've ****ed it up, heads need to roll.
