Official Cronulla Sharks Board + Management

I think it’s just the 5:30 Saturdays against out of town teams
Yeah but still, I would ave thought plenty would be up for a good feed and drinks whilst watching the footy. Does it necessarily have to be corporate? Surely they could open it up to anyone but charge them a set price.
seems to be a 50/50 split on how much green space teams want or need . bulldogs are going with 1 field at belmore, the raiders COE is 1 pitch, the roosters is built into the sfs but perhaps they still use the surrounding greenspace.
Eels, Panthers, Dragons have multiple fields.
Yep there's a footy field set up across the road for them.

But no free beer !!

More importantly , it would be more formal & structured , a lot of what is shared currently at these meetings would not be shared online , questions & interjections would be moderated & interpreted by a third person such as an IT staff member . Example was during COVID.
I think you could even just have it as a function to watch, but not ask questions online as a starting point. Being able to see how it runs could be encouraging for more to attend in the future? Might go the other way though too.

Yeah I like this, I'd watch if the streamed it.

A livestream would be good but they would then also have to be a little careful. Maybe they could edit a video and release it

Thanks for the summary.

Certainly small turnout - but more concerning it was mainly the grey haired regulars & more so than usual.

Can only assume the majority of members are generally happy with the club's management or have other priorites .

Hearing the detail that was given reinforces that we are fortunate to have the directors we have who are prepared to put the time in they obviously do .

On the subject of lower than expected crowds to date , my view is that the high cost of drinks & foods is also a factor in combination with the current state of the facilities .
Yes agree with this. My son and I decided not to get dinner at the ground for the Dolphins game. We got KFC on the way home instead. For what we want at the ground, and its not a lot, would cost us somewhere in the region of $50 plus drinks. We got our meal at KFC for half that.

Yeah I don't know how that would really fit in with the Monty Porter Stand. I can see it goes out on to the footpath airspace.... I doubt we have any right to the footpath, but could probably negotiate the airspace with council. But it doesn't seem to me like it would deliver enough extra room unless you eat into the stand area.

Lyall Gorman got us the Premiership, but with the CoE he reminded me a little of a monorail salesman :)
I remember being asked to donate via Sharks Have Heart on a monthly basis years ago when Lyle was in charge regarding the implementation of the CoE. Incentives such as being invited to the grand opening, name on a foyer wall, etc

Yeah but this is the thing, it's not like we're talking about a full day at the cricket. It's very easy to go to a game of footy without buying food, which is what we do.

Hey Gents,
Here’s a bit of positivity or a pat on the back for our Board/Management
On face book, & from a post from the mole
(I know, I know, who gives a f#%k about social media or the mole)
Anyway, the post he threw out there was-
‘Be honest, which is the worst run club in the NRL’
I thought this’ll be interesting, there was 172 comments when I read it, some posters gave just one club, some posters tossing up several.
Out of the 173 i bothered to scroll through, there was only two that said the Sharks, a ACT resident, probably still salty from Sunday 😀
& a random bloke from PNG.
Like rewind 15 odd years ago, not even, we would’ve had crap loads throwing up the Sharks as the club.
Well done Sharks board & management on steering us to safer waters!

I'm impressed with your dedication to not only read the comments but stalk the whereabouts of those that mentioned us!
