Nominations open today. Will this be the year that the club notifies members about the election process in advance? I doubt itSharks election period coming up too. I don’t expect much to change. I always would like to see actual nominations and an election though:

The Annual General Meeting of the Club will be held at the Sharks at Kareela Club at 6.30pm, Wednesday 25 March 2026
Yeah there might be some more interest in the elections next year when the Chairmans Club is back open! You would be spewing to do all the hard work in finally getting the club built then got kicked off the board now!
The big test will be how much money the club can make once its fully opened. The cost of living landscape has changed significantly since the club was last open.
It's hard to believe it was closed prior to Covid!
Also will be interesting so see how Kareela goes once the club is open.
Yeah - if they set it up like a Club Menai vibe it can do well. Needs a kids friendly bistro etcYeah there might be some more interest in the elections next year when the Chairmans Club is back open!
It's going to be interesting. I think it can fill a good space in the market though, somewhere where family and social groups can get together without being ultra-fancy. Like the perfect place for a family birthday or a sporting team to get together.
I can't see it impacting Kareela too much... I don't think most Cronulla/Caringbah people would ever go to Kareela except maybe game days. Most people I talk to don't even know there's a Sharks club there![]()
What like a funeral home?Yeah - if they set it up like a Club Menai vibe it can do well. Needs a kids friendly bistro etc
Haven't been there for over 20 years, sounds like there's no need to rush back! What like a funeral home?
I haven't been there for a while, but a year or two ago, it was very popular on the weekend evenings (all ages). Has that changed? What like a funeral home?
It rakes the money in.What like a funeral home?
