Yep. I still believe in him but this is his first proper test. This is the lowest we’ve felt in a while and lets see if he has the know how to get us out of this mess.

That was a masterclass by Craig Bellamy. The way they targeted our halves, even small things like the way they tackle Talakai trying to knock the ball out. Need to see some more tactics from Fitz

This sort of result has been coming for a while - I cringe when commentators crap on about what a defensive coach he is. If he does have that mindset and skillset as a coach well he isn't making it happen on the field with our players and structures.
At least one of the commentators said Sharks defense hasn't been up to scratch for a while. It's better than what it was under JMO/Hannay but that was a pretty low base and we didn't have as many good defensive players in the team back then either.
Now our attack is faltering too. Lots of work to be done and some tough decisions to be made.
Our gameplans needs alot of work too. Opposition coaches seem to do alot of homework on us and come up with plans that work really well but bar the odd trickshot we seem to play the same way every week regardless of who our opposition is. That is on the coach.
I think this Sharks team is a slow burn, we might not be the team and play how we want to for another season or so.
Storm were slack last week and got smashed, we should take a leaf out of their book and respond. We won't be playing a top 8 team next week (which is exactly what we need IMO) but we have to restart somewhere.
Get some confidence back and make some changes for the better I hope and train our asses off.
If we can still make the 8 and jag a first week finals win (possible if against a bottom of the 8 type team) at least it's something we can build on towards the future. The problems look too big for much more in season 2023.
