Be nice if we don't let DWZ score his usual plethora of tries against us at the very least
Yeah but Cronulla.

It's what and who we are. The plebs who either:
1. Play teams into form
2. Play opposition players into form
3. Choke in high stakes situations
4. Crumble when it's a milestone game, for either side.
5. Also lose the unlosable

I have no idea how he got the team so primed for this one, considering the 6-day turnaround and travel

And a new game plan for the circumstances, with the line speed focus, and McInnes heavily involved similar to that Melbourne game without Nicho

Loved the line speed - one of the areas we often lack in tough games we lose

Also, brought Katoa back and swapped Ronnie back to DWZ's side.

Plus he rested Sifa last week to be fresh today (could be a coincidence but I'm running with it).

He mentioned a couple of times this week that he has simplified our game to cater for missing so many players. Worked a treat.

We definitely attacked pretty tight, did Trindall pass outside Teig once?

Worked I guess

Warriors basically played the same game plan as us so I'm not reading a huge amount into the lack of attack on show from us particularly due to the conditions and the combination of poor dummy half service and mcgetinnestheway

Just listened to the presser.

A NZ media guy asked Fitz what he thought of the two penalties the Warriors gave away due to the timer confusion.

Fitz replied (to words to the effect of): "If you want me to comment on all the bad calls against us this year we will be here all night"

That question just came across as incredibly whingey. What response was the guy expecting to get?

He’s showing a pattern imo, one either he learnt when at the Roosters or it was one of his philosophies when there and that’s realising comps aren’t won in May, and to aim to hit finals in form.

The last few years we noticeably improve around that origin period and really come home strong.

I think Fitz has always planned to ramp things up. The last few weeks even without key attacking players we’ve been really dialled in defensively.

It also helps that the 6-again frenzy appears to be under control.
