There is always an element of that but we definitely changed how we attack.

It didn’t get it done in the finals, but it got us there. Comfortably.

Yeah but don’t you want a style or as a team, have the ability to play a style that works & wins in finals?
For me, come finals, refs tend to be a touch more lenient by keeping the whistle in the pocket more plus the defence has extra intensity where they are in your face quicker.
We either got worked out, or the style doesn’t work (maybe both)

We tend to panic & implode, I could be wrong but 3 seasons of finals & generally failures tends to prove the point.

The problem is that the Steve Price theory defensive theory is to let them come to you and save energy

And tbf we do need those energy reserves to keep walking back to half way to kick off

I'd say Fitz has a say in the defensive theory too, and lets be honest our defence has been pretty good under these two up until this year it's been down, mostly feels like the last 6 or so weeks

Not even been that down until the last month approx

Around round 14 we were one of the top defences

I’m not disagreeing with you. But the style that gets you in the top 4 but may not be good enough to advance you to a grand final is better than the one that sees you scrapping it out for the bottom part of the 8, or God forbid, missing finals altogether.
 
I think a lot of us have fantasised about sleeping with Shields at some point

This is our premiership window……


The simple fact is when u look at our team, on paper its a well rounded team. But i feel like Firz has put all his eggs in the basket of our first 20, and the remaining 10 guys wont be called upon unless theres zero alternative. Which i feel is creating a great deal of complacency in some of the guys

Fitz himself said we played poorly- even when we're were up by 16.
