Tbf he sees a lot more than plebs like us
But the pleb masses cant all be wrong HB
Everyone is saying Hynes isnt a 7 and should be 6
Everyone is questioning the selection of Acko at 14 6 esp when he doesn't use him to cover an oitside back (Iro) when they get injured.
Everyone can see that players like Ramien & Kafusi are out of form

That's a surface observation. Maybe with more information (behind the scenes knowledge and vision) people might form a different opinion?

I get it, I'm in another thread wanting Kaufusi dropped.

Let's be honest though, we only see 80 minutes a week, the coach sees what, 30 hours?

I want to see a change or two but we don't have the cattle to make wholesale changes.

I would definitely agree with this. Look I’m not happy with our recent form and I cannot sit here and say with 100% certainty that this coach and this team will win us a comp. But I’m not prepared to sit here and say we can’t either.

There is no doubt Fitz is accountable. Initially, he’s accountable to the CEO, and to the chairman and the board. They are the ones who more closely monitor the coach’s work performance and what he does each day to achieve the required outcomes.

I still think this playing group can get us out of this mess. Many of you will disagree and that’s fine. But ultimately it is up to the players. If they can turn things around then great. But if their hearts aren’t in it, then we’ll lose more games and the fans won’t show. Then it’s on the coach. And if we get to that sorry state I’ll gladly agree he’s been a failure.

The chance of most fans knowing more than most coaches most years seems statistically unlikely

its easy to say this on the surface but with injuries etc there may be no ability to make changes
maybe trindall is carrying, could explain his form of late. maybe its nicho and atko is there if either go down
we know AFB is carrying a groin issue plus had his arm in a sling
Kafusi has been carrying ankle and finger issues
tieg and katoa wouldnt be 100%
hiroti is def nowhere near 100%
players have come out and said nicho is the better (organiser)7 than trindall, Mcinnes is on record stating nicho organises everything and tells them where to be etc (press conference)if there was a better game manager im sure fitz would chuck hynes into the 6 role
maybe fitz has identifed changes he wants to make but cant yet as there are no options to implement them

GTFO of here with your logic and reasonably measured takes. Can't you see it's a boys club and Fitz just let's his favourites choose where to play?!

"I won't flinch, I believe in what I believe in," Fitzgibbon said on Wednesday.

"The game leaves clues and you are constantly learning, constantly trying to stay consistent in what you believe in so the team can stay consistent.

"Over the course of the last three seasons there's always been a period where we've had this and managed to take the outcome out of it."

"Prior to the last two weeks, we've been in every game we've played," Fitzgibbon said.

"There's not been a single performance prior to that where we weren't competitive and playing the way I wanted to play.

"Consistency is the thing, not the period, we want to be a consistent team and the last two weeks haven't been."
