This is due to a new variant. Was this known when vaccines were first rolled out? No.

This appears to be a very mild variant compared to the earlier strains which were the reason vaccines were implemented.

For the record I won't be rushing to get another vaccine for a while, one per year is enough for me.

This is just something we live with now, I won't be going back into my shell unless a severe strain emerges.

Yep, the evolutionary pressure on the virus is the evasion of immunity, both vaccinated and natural. I'm assuming that omicron has also cemented itself as the dominant variant by providing natural immunity against previous variants e.g Delta.

Hopefully future versions continue to become less virulent, though there is some non peer-reviewed studies that suggest BA.5 has taken more of a liking to the lungs than previous omicrons.

I'm like yourself. I'm not going to have any other shots for now. I'll wait to see whether they come up with a better updated vaccine down the track. If I was 70+ I'd be having the 4th though.

If the shots were that good you would be getting your 4th and 5th and 6th, after just 3 weeks their Efficacy is basically nothing, Everyone should be wary of taking more of these shots. Pfizer has made $83 billion in ONE year and now they want more.

Which part of my post were you referring to? Where did I say that natural immunity was weaker than vaccine immunity. Where was I even talking about the quality of shots?

I'm starting to think that you're a 14 year old with the mental capacity of a 12 year old.
