I thought he was phenomenal tonight. This is a guy, who in 3 years of first grade, hasn't had the opportunity to hone his craft in any position, but continually shows up and plays like a starter whatever position he's picked in.

He is too good to not be playing regular grade and we are spoiled for quality given he can't crack a regular spot with us.

Don't need to dive for the corner post when you can just step back in and beat 5 defenders, what a phenomenal effort that try of his was using his strength and speed +pinball action there in the one go

yes he had some hicups second half but I thought he had a fantastic game for us otherwise

other players missed tackles and made mistakes too , yes the one at start of second half did hurt though he didn't create that situation on the edge so not all on him by any means

had one of our quickest average PTB speeds

Sort of guy you wouldn't like to play against, runs hard and hits hard. Got into Kikau's head as well.

Slipped over on the 2nd and still kind of got a shot on Alex Johnston, ineffective as it was.

We're really going to miss Katoa for the rest of the season.

Definitely cost us 2 tonight. Shame because the one he scored was great.
yes, he did.
Connor did well to stay in too, thought he was going to be bundled out

but someone once said, the lead up to a try is all set up by the 1%s in the lead-up. QTB, getting over the advantage line etc.,

same with conceding; there was some poor defensive reads up the middle that gave souths prime position to set up for latrell try. very much on the back foot for that one. nikora was one of them. especially in the lead-up to that Connor mishap in goal. and also for that try, I'm sure WK was up in the defensive line working...then had to sprint way across. unless I'm thinking of the wrong try??

if we get on top of those little things opposition sides wouldn't get the opportunity.
all wishful thinking 😌

No one can replace "the sexy" but he is doing his best. His try, even though there was a high contact, was beautiful and all heart.

Since he is so dedicated, I expect him to plug the holes in his game in the upcoming weeks. Also he was baptised by fire, first the Panthers and last night the Bunnies. Not the easiest opponents.

Let’s be honest Katoa wasn’t really known for his defensive prowess either. Very likely would have let those tries in too.
