However, at least he knows a few players at Souths - Kidwell, Crossman...and of course there's the Gordie factor
Suprising. I thought Sharks were the favourites at this stage.

Don't shoot the messenger.
Fingers crossed on this one.
I've been told he's reneged.
Sharks have produced $350 large per season.
The club that goes cap in hand to ask its bankers for $500k to pay their last player wages bill...
They ask the NRL for $2m to keep the joint afloat...
They sign Reni, Barrett, Tupou and are up to their necks in the chase for Crocker...
Give me a break.
Those pricks can't balance their books to the extent their players have to wait until a bank loan is secured to get their bloody wages and the NRL have to bail them out to the tune of two mill...
I'm spewing.

I hope there's a last minute deal struck to have his visa approved or a French Connection similar to Bird's...
Just to stuff up the bloody gummies.

I can't see how they can be under salary cap.
Does the loss of Kimmorley, DeGois, Anderson & Bird = gain of Tupou, Barrett, Matua & Crocker? (Have I omitted someone?)
Tupou & Barrett would be on big money. I can only think of Bird being on something equivalent. Now Crocker is supposedly on big money too...?!
Of course Ross & Gallen aren't cheap either.
If Stuart doesn't buy them a premiership this year he's gone....

Well I hope the Sharks don't win their "attempted brought premiership" and the club goes bankrupt. Asking for a loan, offering players huge contracts and yet supposely in the red is wrong. Worst than Manly - well almost. I hope Souths have not offered Croker any where near $350,000 like Cronulla has if this is true. Cronulla the new scum of the NRL.

I've always hated the sharks Sonic. Got no history whatsover, SL club, one of the worst grounds to watch footy and their sky blue colour even looks soft. If any club should pack their bags and relocate, its the sharks for me, hands down.
Having said that, a great forward pack they have have now got (if Croc signs of course), but who is going to score their points? Yes, you need a great pack to win the big one, but Ricky is going to front heavy I think. Hate him or loath him, I still think Bird is better than any of their signings as well.

How long till his signing is confirmed in the media?. The Sharks must be walking on a knifes edge financially. I noticed during Channel 7 membership story that the Sharks have one of the lowest membership figures in the league. I can't understand how all these new players they have signed aren't concerned about player payments when they had to take out a bank loan to make player payments for 08 and bank refused to loan them the amount they requested.

Im sorry I remember the statement "merge or die" for that I Hate them just behind the Rorters and Manly, and if they sign him for 350k how can they stick thier hand out? easy they have been doing it since before superleague and until somebody has the balls to say no they will continue to do so , without doubt the worst run club in the comp and that includes Fitzy and the eels
Sooner or later they wont be able to bank on the fact they went to superleague , especially in the current financial climate
As they are from the shire originally , I can suggest a new name "Adelaide Hobbits"
