I’ve been thinking a lot about who should be captain next season.

There’s no way Wade keeps the job.

The obvious replacement is Nicho, but I think he has enough on his plate.

Finucane is another option, but you just get the feeling he’s gonna miss games with injuries/HIAs/suspensions.

So that leads me to this guy.

McInnes could easily do the job for the next 3 years. With Finucane as his backup.

Agree, if he's playing he's 100% captain.
One can only help he retires or moves on….for mine has become counter productive Graham at captain. Would
Much rather finucane or Cam who I think lead by example…the last thing we want is any of the players trying to duplicate Wades game…

Why would they do that?

The players love Wade and his leadership and so do the coaches - whatever you think of that, whoever becomes captain might try to replicate elements of that.

Cam doesn't seem that animated and appears kinda reserved and quiet, dunno if that's what we want for captain.

We need a Fifita type leader IMO. There is so much ability and strength in this squad, sometimes they just need a bit of a rocket and firing up but we also need someone that knows the time and place to do it and can give some guidance and calmness when we in a particular game situation or whatever

I'm open to it being being Dale but only after he re-finds his form. Wade has another 12 months max here you would think so it will prob go to Dale at some point anyway.

I think Hynes will make a good leader but he has enough on his plate as it stands

For Finucane should be captain for next year. I have no doubt he’ll bounce back and have a great year next season.

Wade comes across as reserved and quiet too. I cannot see him being very animated.

I'm the opposite

There's no way he doesn't keep the job if he's in the 17.

I think there should be a VC though, whether it be Dale, or Nicho to plan for the future. I like the idea of it being Nicho as I dont think Dale or Cam need the C next to their name to lead and dont feel they get caught up on it too much either.

Thats presuming Nicho is our future captain

Personally I would go with Dale as captain and Nicho and Wade (Assuming he is still here) as VC. I think given Dale and Graham both spend time on the bench it makes sense for Nicho to be involved. I also think it is an easy sell as Graham is transitioning to exiting the club and that should stop him from feeling like his toes are stepped on.

Fitz did the respectful thing and let Wade continue on to be captain even though he was injured..

Give it to Finucane next year and start the regime change proper even if Wade is there next year
