Hasn't looked like it's done Wade any favours since his return... slightly gutted to hear this

Wade brained them on his return and made the origin team.

His form last year wasn't due to his ACL that he did 2 years prior.

This ain’t good. Coming to us on decent money as a key signing coming off a major ACL injury? That’s Cronulla luck for you. Not everybody returns from these the same as they were before so I’m just hoping Cam is an exception.

Yeah I think Wade showed enough on return that I'd assume it wasn't that impacting him last season

Look yeah it's not great but it could be worse, be could have done it later in the season. This way he has more than enough time to recover and be ready for our pre season. Wouldn't be surprised if our medical staff keep close tabs on what he's doing. Can't blame the Dragons for probably not caring too much.

And he isn't going to get banged up this season playing footy.

Sucks that we can't get him this year though. Atleast the Dragons will suck that much more and we play them Rd 1 so might actually win a Rd 1 game for the first time in years.

He's basically known/rated for being a hard working professional footy player. Reckon he'll rip into rehab & doesn't seem the sort to take demons on field with him.

Think he came back around June 2019. Didn't he play a couple of (very good) games, then off for another month after Origin with a hammie? Might not have been related in any way I suppose, but we did spend all last season talking about how he didn't look to have full movement or speed. Might have been something else, but I'd still say he hasn't been the same since his return (for any real length of time)

That would be the one caused by that pin headed tnuc from Manly giving his leg a good twist.

MCINNES WAS SET FOR EARLY SHARKS SWAP
You've got to feel for poor Dragons utility forward Cameron McInnes, who suffered a season-ending knee injury just days after signing with Cronulla for 2022.
Ironically, I'm hearing that McInnes was set to move to the Sharks very soon in a player swap, with the Dragons deciding it was not in anyone's interests that their former captain remained at the club.
And the player who the Dragons were considering asking for in return?
The Sharks' Greek international Billy Magoulias - who like McInnes can play at both lock and hooker.
The swap is obviously off the table now - but don't be surprised to see the 24-year-old Magoulias running around in the Big Red V in 2022.
The Dragons yesterday signed Andrew McCullough - a favourite of new coach Anthony Griffin - for three years, but there may still be room for him and Magoulias in their roster.

Anyone think of any benefit to moving Billy on now? Maybe making a spot in the 30 for someone else? Though I think we have enough to slot in a couple more players

It would only be to upgrade someone else, doubt it frees up much money. Not sure the likes of Vasquez, Raper or Hazelton have shown enough to warrant the promotion, Hamlin could be worth considering if he is training as well as he played.
We still have two roster spots already, only need to fill one by March 1
