It did hurt us, from memory, they March down field from it & score not long after, I don’t like copping crap penalties but I like it even less when we don’t defend them

It was one of the first of many terrible calls by Atkin’s after a fair start . He lost the plot after this one
What made it worse was that it was a call from the bunker which meant they had a few looks at it.
That was a pivotal point in the match.

Yep, totally agree. Atkins was starry-eyed last night unfortunately.
I like him as a ref, I think him and Gee are pretty good. But last night he was abysmal.
Ridiculous penalty and report against Cam. Thank goodness he’s not charge but total ineptness by the bunker.

Yep, Go Go gadget arms.. Cams dive was a wee bit calculated; what Cams mind was calculating at that precise moment, who knows…He looked bloody small last night, clearly punches above his weight.

he doesn't look ready for 80 mins yet, especially not in a fast paced game against a Top 2 team
his carries were still pretty good and energetic and he made the most tackles in our team while on an edge! so he defs had alot of traffic his way only missed 1 but unfortunately it was the one that led to they try against us
that suprised me a bit. Cams been around a while now and spent most of his time at the Dragons who don't know their head from their foot
Not that I am a fan of Jack Williams on an edge but he has done it before and could have possibly played there and we have Hunt on the bench instead of Trindall. But Jack Williams is just starting to come back into the team and is rusty and wouldnt have handled 80 mins in the second row anyway but maybe we could have done a mid game shuffle
I wonder if Jesse Colquhoun is an option , I get he is listed as a Prop/Lock but he doesn't look that heavy and seemed pretty mobile in the Trial games but prob not a good way to bring in an inexperienced rookie playing out of position

16k is a big crowd for NRL
yea early on he was giving us calls and looking like he was going to give it a fair go. I love seeing the Storm penalised and held to account but he is at the mercy of the bunker and NRL. still he let multiple high shots on our players go uncalled
