Official Cameron McInnes

I’ve also done my MCL a few times, and was hoping maybe I had stirred up some scar tissue.

“There was only one way to find out what I had done, so I thought to myself, ‘I’ll race out of the line and see how I go.

I’ll try and put a shot on, and if the knee can handle the impact, I’ll be right. If it buckles again, I’m in trouble. It buckled.

“There was no point trying to protect it and play within myself. I wanted to play the way I wanted to play, and if my knee couldn’t handle it, at least I’d know. That was my thinking.

I get it's slack for McInnes to miss the rest of this year and most of next, but I don't feel as concerned as the media is making it out to be.

We will miss his defence definitely but not sure if his attack is anything to go nuts about.

I'm happy to see either Coulqhoun or Puru in the middle, for me, maybe Puru as be brought some speed and energy in the ruck.

At least Cam getting injured and missing most of next season takes the pressure off our whole team actually making it on the field at the same time.

I was getting worried we may actually make it come finals time!

But despite the tough road back to the field that lies ahead, McInnes isn't done yet and will be turning all his attention towards preparing his Sharks teammates for the finals.

"There's no thought in my head that my footy career is over - I've just got to work hard and get back on the field," he told 9News Sydney on Monday.

I was actually wondering if he might call stumps on his career having been through an ACL rehab before and he might not have it in him but being the warrior he is he wont want to go out this way.

I think he'll be great to still have on the sidelines and at training to rev the boys up , he'll probably stay on the sidelines knowing him

I'm more worries about who's going our new Dad is going to be. There's a fair few man-child types in our team that require adult supervision
