Back to the topic at hand, I’m happy to do another one of these - but it probably won’t be this week. Pretty much flat out with work (from home) plus having the family at home for lockdown makes finding time for a 3-4 hour re-watch unlikely. I’ll see how I go over the next few weeks.

Ok looks like some want a shorter version. On Talima Tauti perhaps?

Me, i would like one on Our Man Williams given how divided people seems to be on him. To me he aint a first grader std, but maybe on analysis, i'm wrong.

If I was to do Williams, would you want the Manly game (playing out of position) or one where he played plenty of minutes in the middle against half decent opposition? Maybe Magic Round (38 minutes)?

You should also go back and read through the (shorter) one I did for Williams in round 1. He had some really poor moments in defence that game, but his ptb speed was next level. Maybe also the (longer) Chad one vs the Raiders, where Williams played really well and I called out a few really nice plays from him.

Personally I think Williams has his flaws and can get worked over a bit in defence, but is quite good at doing the little things that coaches love and fans don’t necessarily notice.

I personally think Williams is great bench option. Quick play the balls, strong, has some versatility in that he can play in the middles and on the edges and even at centre if need be. Great bench player.

There has been some discussion in other threads about whether the positives outweigh the negatives (defensive issues + mistakes). Imho he has been really good most weeks but has had 2-3 dodgy showings.

Being good roughly 90% of the time is a big improvement on last year when he was good probably 20% of the time and most of that was towards the end of the season after he'd already built a bad rep amongst fans

Every player makes some errors or misses tackles. I think he has been one of the better players this year. But I do think he is best suited to the bench. Like Boogie used to be.

Only trouble is that he's in the top 2 forwards for us just about every week. Not that it makes him a fantastic forward, but makes it hard to keep him on the bench and smaller minutes

Comes down to minutes though. Same as Rudolf imo. Looks good when he plays the right amount of minutes. Struggles when he has to play too many.

Not sure if the stats, but feels like we get just as much with the ball and more defensively from Jack over the same minutes? Still, neither is playing like the answer to our starting prop question

Sorry didnt realise there was the shorter. Yeah i guess in fairness would be the later write up, in position.
