Yeah, it was like one injury where he wasn’t even going to be out THAT long. And he wasn’t even playing for a contract.
Was towards the end of his career, I can understand it.

Has Xerri apologised publicly to the club and fans?
Saw something on Instagram where he kind of made himself sound a bit of a victim. Just one mistake, worked so hard to get to where he had, doing it for his family, will be back and show his real fans... that sort of PR fluff
The mentality that sees him view himself as the victim now fits with the weak mentality that would see him think 'it's nor fair that I'm injured, there must be something I can do to get back for season start, anything...'
If he hadn’t been nabbed, he’d be playing for the roosters now anyway.
Yep and Suaalii would still be a SouthsIf he hadn’t been nabbed, he’d be playing for the roosters now anyway.

anyone else feel like me in just not giving a **** about this bloke playing for the sharks again? centre isn't really where you wanna throw wads of cash at these days anyway, fullback and wings is where you need to invest these days. you need guns in those positions to score points
Apparently looking to have a crack at NFL who don’t recognise his ban. Could actually give it a serious shot for more than 1 year if he did.
Banned NRL star eyeing shock switch to NFL: Report
Just weeks after being banned for four years by the NRL’s Anti-Doping Tribunal, suspended Sharks star Bronson Xerri is eyeing a shock switch to the NFL.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports that Xerri has reached out to Pacific Sports Management – the company that helped another former Sharks star, Valentine Holmes, gain a footing in American football.
Such a move would make sense because while the NRL and other sports in Australia are signatories to the World Anti-Doping Authority, the NFL is not bound by the WADA code, meaning Xerri is free to try his hand.
Xerri would be the third star NRL player to try and make it in the NFL.
Jarryd Hayne played eight games for the San Francisco 49ers in 2015 before quitting the sport in May 2016 as he attempted a last-ditched effort to play for Fiji at the Rio Olympics.
Holmes spent months on the New York Jets’ practice squad in 2019 and played three pre-season games before being released. The 25-year-old returned to the NRL and joined the Cowboys.
But unlike Hayne and Holmes, Xerri has time up his sleeve.
The suspended back would have at least three years to make it because of his ban.
Xerri, 20, is has the physical attributes to challenge for selection. He’s quick, is bulked up and defends in the front line. He was firmly in the mix for Origin until he was suspended in 2020.

Here is one article.
Cos Hayne and Val have gone on to do wonderful things post-NFL
