Do we give Wilton a debut this week? He hasn’t been named in the 21 squad though all year has he? So not sure if he’s even ready to play. Anyone got any info on him?

I was a bit worried when I saw it to be honest. Good chance for Talakai to get a start.
Sorro could do the job too but rather him keep Williams out of starting for a bit longer and I'm not sure we'd run Graham Sorensen Rudolf, although I wouldn't hate it

If Wilton can't get a bench gig this round we may not see him this year

Yep , I'd like Talakai on the edge .
Played Centre didn't he ?
The bonus of of edge , Hunt would get more game time , one would think
Although GREAT off the bench .

Soro is out injured too apparently. Having scans but at least gone for this week.

Someone else asked about Wilton being ready. He's definitely fit/healthy if that is what you mean. Whether he is "ready" is a different question, but hopefully we find out. He's still a year young than Nikora was when he debuted.

Personally I'd start with Talakai on the edge, but bring Teig on after 20 and let him play out the rest of the game. Bring Talakai back on later for a stint in the middle.

Was assuming Sorro would be okay but if he's not fit then Williams probably does come back in and start Talakai on the edge.

Definitely opens up a bench spot for someone - Billy? Teig?

Wilton doesn’t strike me as a power player Burg, he seems like he is more a player that just does his job.
Can be a bit creative I think from what you’ve mentioned before.

Not sure we need another creative player, need more of one with strength and power.
Talakai on the edge for mine would be way more destructive.

No way Talakai is playing 80 though. Need another back rower in the 17.

Teig has made pretty much every rep team he’s been eligible for in the last 4-5 seasons, captained half of them, and just played a full season in the NSW Cup in the forwards at 19. I’m sure the club sees more in him than a guy who “just does his job”.

Hard to argue with your logic .
I'd now be happy to see him in given a go in first grade

And they signed him for 3 years. He's defn part of the plan. Reminds me alot like Cordner to be honest. Similar body shape, runs similar lines. I rate him highly and watched a fair bit of him. Has some mongrel in him too.

With Nikora and likely Sorro out I assume Williams will defn be back in. Might be a good time to bring him back actually. He knows he needs to perform otherwise he gets dropped again. A good game and he keeps his spot. Might be the fire cracker he needs.

I couldn't give you the actual number but when we were at Shark Park and NSW Cup were playing I'd be there early and watch him and also watched replays and highlights of NSW Cup games on the NSWRL website.

I'm not saying he shouldn't be given a go, I just don't think he suits our style at the moment.

Also sadly agree.
ineffective in attack. Passive in defence.

too bad you can’t drop players to reserve grade to build on form.
He’s a shadow of himself from last year
