Official Briton Nikora

I'd be very surprised if Brit backed up tomorrow night. I also don't think AFB will. Brailey I think will be fine.

I genuinely only really noticed him when he talked Munster into the challenge and immediately looked to the heavens in a 'come on big guy, I'll owe you one' moment! But I don't pay so much attention to the inside baseball stuff when I'm watching Origin.

I tried to focus on him and Brailey off the ball and noticed they both come on and made a stack of tackles.

I dont really pay attention to Nikora for the Sharks at defence. I'm going to try and pay attention when he next plays.

I get his defensive workrate but it is hard to tell how much he does off the ball in attack when you only have TV's extreme close-up coverage... If you can't read Teddy's underwear size, they think the camera is too far away!

I only really care about Sharks in Origin, so I was watching him every play basically:
  • His tackles were generally strong and dominant (lawnmower type tackles)
  • When he was playing on the right he was involved in some important kick chases over the far side of the field
  • He was generally back before most of the other Queensland forwards
He did still miss a cover tackle in one of the tries, and then got caught behind the play-the-ball for the Cleary try. But I don't think either would have happened without the send-off. And I think Slater would be happy with his efforts. I guess we'll see....

Yeah I was the same.

It was good watching Brailey come on and make a stack of early tackles. He was sprinting side to side covering the inside when Qld were shifting the ball.

McInnes - "Brit, his marker play is probably the best in the game".

@Sharks NRL Prospects is that as simple as just working hard, mainly laterally from marker? Getting into the tackle from the side/legs?

I never played the game at a high level to know this stuff, and can't say I notice it much more than when he makes some good consecutive efforts.
