Great post to start a fresh page with hahaYes.
"stumbled across"? Sure sureMade me wonder if I'd stumbled across the Copulation Thread.
I think you want Miller in the middle but doing plenty on the attacking side of the ball, not the defensive side. Plenty of support rubs, injecting some speed into the game.Fair Call
But , not many teams have a halves reserve on the bench
Do you think Miller might be able to do good bench job , even in the halves if push came to shove ?
All this talk re Miller - I assume you have watched him more than the one game a few weeks ago?I think you want Miller in the middle but doing plenty on the attacking side of the ball, not the defensive side. Plenty of support rubs, injecting some speed into the game.
I think it can work and would like to see it at some point.
Made one of the most meters ever by a debutant which isn’t a bad effortAll this talk re Miller - I assume you have watched him more than the one game a few weeks ago?
My take on that one game was that he was fairly solid without being spectacular. Yeh it was a great try he scored but he also let the ball bounce which could of gone anywhere.
Maybe I need to rewatch.
I was talking about Miller as a potential 14, not a 1. For his development, much happier seeing him play 80 for the Jets (though you could probably say the same for Trindall). All this talk re Miller - I assume you have watched him more than the one game a few weeks ago?

Although record is held by Denan Kemp so do with that information what you will
We've got to a place where if someone gets hurt someone must be at fault and pay for it. Nothing can just be an accident now.Yeh the hip drop penalty has become a farce and it stated with the McInnes one early in the year. The classic hip drop is so obvious because the players use their own weight the drop down when tackling.
I can't remember the last time a player from any club actually got suspended for this type tackle. What makes it worse is that the bunker is making these calls after watching a few times.
They're slowly getting closer to what they want the game to look like. At least the people that watch SOO and the GF will be happy, that's the main thing. We've got to a place where if someone gets hurt someone must be at fault and pay for it. Nothing can just be an accident now.
It’s footy fans in general mate. The player who has 3 big runs and one big hit every game will always be seen by the masses as being “better” than the player who has 10 solid runs and 40 tackles.People complain about our defence but campaign for players based on what they would possibly bring to our attack.
"Our defence is ****. Aidan Tolman does his job but offers no impact. Bring in Miller or Tracy to run around tired forwards instead of Trindall."
Scoring points really isn't our problem. Miller and Tracy might find out a tired forward but maybe it's more crucial for our tired forwards to have the defence Trindall brings, which was great on Sunday. That hip drop penalty was rubbish too, defenders are quickly running out of places to tackle because a flick above the shoulders is a penalty and grabbing a bloke low will probably end up a hip drop. Cuddle them and they will probably sit down and you will be done for a crusher.
Replace Tolman with an impact forward (who?) you lose the defensive job Tolman brings. I would love a high impact defensive beast to replace Tolman but we don't have that.
Well, how did that saying go? Attack wins games, defence wins championships. It’s footy fans in general mate. The player who has 3 big runs and one big hit every game will always be seen by the masses as being “better” than the player who has 10 solid runs and 40 tackles.
Imo you need both players in the team - but if I can only have one of them I would take the latter.
I don't mind them saying if you're a defender, you have a duty of care to protect that other players head... but we're way beyond that now. A guy can trip over and gets hit in the head, even through his head is knee high and it's a penalty. We've got to a place where if someone gets hurt someone must be at fault and pay for it. How many weeks do you reckon a Pomslam would be worth now?I don't mind them saying if you're a defender, you have a duty of care to protect that other players head... but we're way beyond that now. A guy can trip over and gets hit in the head, even through his head is knee high and it's a penalty.
Not to mention if you have the ball, you can pretty much do what you want. Imagine what charge Kaufisi would cop if he was the defender and Walker had the ball.
