Commentary said yesterday it was his 5th (yes, FIFTH) start as a 7

He's playing behind an underperforming, weak pack
He's STILL our sole gameplay kicker (which everyone said was Chad's struggle)
He ran for almost 100m yesterday, scored a try and had a hand in one or two others - he put Nikora through the hole for him to offload etc

Plus he's probably on like 200k.

I'm happy with him

Great post

Huh ? Literally everything he created had nothing to do with Moylan ? Just like last week

Moylan played 80% of the game so obviously that’s a lot more time they are on the field together then not -I like Moylan but I couldn’t see the value Moylan added to us until apparently (net cut out) the last 20 mins

To my eye Trindall looked a lot more confident and the attack a lot more structured with Moylan on. Just like any player I think Trindall did better with that happening.

I've got no problem with Trindall. He shows a fair bit of promise. But there's a lot to work on in his game (ie still kicking into legs... Must have been three times this game and last, and probably the one before) and I'm just not quite ready to anoint him the Messiah yet, and at this stage I'd have him behind Metcalfe if we managed to snag a proven halfback.

You marked him down as a keeper last year ?

Sure did. Don't get me wrong I would have taken Tedesco, but I thought he showed enough for his age and time in first grade to be a consistent starter for us and a good solid full back.

Trindall I will say is also worth persevering with with and we will regret if If we don't. Trindall 7 and Hynes at 6 next year. Moylan 14

tough second half with limited ball and opportunities in Storms end but is looking a proper player

is landing his kicks in good spots and showing he can do it consistently which is very pleasing for a player who originally you could considered was erratic

still some ways to go in defensive positioning and reads but that should come in time and he can make a good strong tackle

having someone next to him that is the same person for the 80 mins and who can kick would be nice

Yeah he’s showing us enough to be excited about. Will only get better hopefully

Love how he takes the line on. Probably needs to pick his moments better but that will come with experience.

Thought he could be man of the match going into half time
Then , he saw no ball as the Storms Half Hughes gave a MASTERCLASS in the second

Thought he handled himself really well with the ball in the first half. Had some big issues with his goal line defence which were poor even for a half. There's signs he can play both sides of the ball, we just need to see him do both in the same game for 80.

The one thing I'd asked for before the game was effort, and he gave that

Short kicking game was on in the first half. Hasn't perfected that torp yet but when he hits them well they are mint. Improving every week.

He is definitely my 7 next year.
