Talented young half back Braydon Trindall, the Man-of-the-Match in the Sharks Jersey Flegg Grand Final victory over the Panthers last September, has extended his contact at the Cronulla club in signing a new two-year deal.
The 19-year-old Trindall joined the Sharks at the start of the 2018 season and was a standout for the all-conquering under 20's side, winning Player of the Year honours for his efforts throughout the year.
Originally from Wee Waa in north-western NSW, Trindall moved to the Queensland as an 11-year-old, running around for the Caboolture Snakes, before spending time in the Melbourne Storm system.

From there Trindall made the move to the Sharks and the Sutherland Shire and he hasn't looked back, moving into the NRL training group towards the end of 2018, before being permanently promoted into the full-time squad for this summer's pre-season.
"It's been a good move," Trindall said of his decision to join the Sharks. "Now I'll see what happens and see how I go. I'm looking forward to ripping in, having a good pre-season and we'll take it from there.
"Hopefully I can play some (Intrust Super Premiership) Cup footy and play consistently there and if I do get the opportunity to play first grade I'll take it with both hands."
Sharks NRL coach Shane Flanagan explained that Trindall had all the tools to be a success in the coming years and has been impressed with what he has seen from the young number seven so far.
"He's an exciting halfback, a very instinctive offensive player and he had a fantastic Jersey Flegg season last year," Flanagan said. "He now has an opportunity to train, look and learn from the senior players which can only be good for him and for his continued development."
Trindall, along with Sharks clubmates Jangala Bennet and Ronaldo Mulitalo, was included in an Emerging Maroons squad, with the Queensland hierarchy keeping a close watch on his progress.

As a Sharks Development player in 2019 Trindall will continue to train with the NRL group throughout the season.

The article doesn’t actually say when this contract goes to. Given he was already under contract for 2019 I’m going to go ahead and call this an extension through 2021.

I haven't seen him play. A running Halfback or more in the mould of Flanno Junior?

Massive boot. Biggest boot in the club easily - though not hard when you have Moylan and Chad as your halves.

Seems like a very good goal kicker too.

Now that Flanno is confirmed leaving, I wanted to bump this thread.

How's he developing?

How's he looking playing against men?

From what I've seen of him (very little) he looks like a good prospect.

Poor start to the year, but improving. His defence has gotten a lot better since early on. The kicking game is definitely a strong point. Has been moved around a bit as per below.

man, the jets agreement is ****

he has played 6, 9 and on the bench this year

but he is ok, wont lace flannos boots though
Yep. 6, 7, 9, bench and 20's. Would be nice if the Sharks could dictate where they want their guys playing when they play for the Jets. He went OK at 9 though.

Seems pretty stocky for your average half, didn't stand out in the game either.
