I have to give Trindall a massive wrap. He has come a long way. It was only a few months ago, it looked like his career could be over. Trindall has done the hard work off the field, worked on his game, his now playing some good footy.
anyone who’s paid attention and didn’t jump on the train to hate him just because realises how good and how much potential he has, kids a gun I just hope re signing Moylan means we don’t lose him because Moylan ain’t worth losing a genuine halfback on the up for

With Trindall signed until end of 23, I think we will lock him up with '24 (Moylans last year) being the big transition between the two of them.

Re-signing Moylan for two years was a mistake. One year would've worked to help that transition for Trindall to possibly step in full-time.

There is no reason we have to actually select Moylan in the starting team in two years time. In the final year of his contract maybe actually Trindall is the better player and he is selected.

Salary cap..

400k for Moylan and you would have to find at least an extra 200k for Trindall.

That’s 600 let alone everyone else’s salary..

The commentators were saying the coach loves Trindall. So if that’s true then you would think he has plans for him at the club. Maybe Trindall is happy to do his apprenticeship off the bench and sometimes at the Jets?

We've covered this............
No-one else wanted Trindall. He looked. We let him.

He's done really well in his last two games. Credit to him and I guess Fitz for handling things well enough to help it happen.

We would always need to allow 600k or so for each half and if we have two halves for around 600k plus Hynes then I say what a bargain

Now that he has a had a couple of good games, I think some clubs might be interested now.

Anyway what you said was not the point of my post.

Was referring to your point that "Maybe Trindall is happy to do his apprenticeship off the bench and sometimes at the Jets?"
I'd say grateful for an opportunity rather than happy to, as he didn't have any other options.

Some thought he was a walk up starter with Sharks previously too, that most other clubs would be crying out for, and that didn't happen.

He's continuing to improve though, very sound backup and could have an interesting fight on our hand between him, Moylan and Dykes over next 18 months or so.
I'm glad he's found some form again since those erratic games he was coming off the bench and trying to force an impact on the game instead of just chipping in.

Yeh that's my thinking too. And if Moylan is still keeping Trindall out due to his form than more power to the Sharks

Likely because he was not playing that 5-10 min bench cameo and got to play a full 80 each week, week in week out for a stint to work on his game and improve.

With that Chunky Phsique and show and go, all we need is goalkicking from the half way line, and we have the Indigenous Panda, aka Barry Andrews
