Official Braydon Trindall

Yeah great year by Trindall

Could definitely still clean up a few small areas, but at 27 he even still has time to do that, and already improving in most areas. Definitely think his decision making in good ball wasn't always the best but has elevated this season.

While he didn't start last weekend the best he did settle into the game and end up playing well. Could have done without the late shot after the pass.
Yeah I'd say this is the biggest improvement in his game this season specifically.

He's also much better at the Moylan play where he digs in around the scrum line and finds a runner or creates shape for Nicho or Kennedy - but I wouldn't that is purely a 2026 thing. He started to show signs of that mid-to-late last year.

I think there is still some improvement to be had, specifically I think he and Teig still aren't as slick a combo as they could be on the short passes. They've had their moments this season and it's improved since a couple of years ago, but I reckon it's still a work in progress.

more composed this sesaon when attacking the line and not trying to make an all or nothing play when nothing is on

Says he is taking his preparation more serious this year
And has a new mindset where he actually wants to do hardstuff, make tackles, and be selfless
(per Nicho on youtube)

Interesting to hear that as it relates back to what I was saying earlier where his decision making near the line has improved, as he definitely has appeared to play very selfishly at times in the past (although it did workout more than it looked like it should at times)

I also remember earlier in the year he said he had a real go in the off-season with fitness, diet etc.

Amazing to think just how many in the NRL half arse it vs what they could be doing
Still overpaid guys in their 20s who have mostly got where they are off natural talents rather than pure hard work.

I remember one preseason Fifita admitted him had gone on a trip for a couple weeks (think it was driving around some country areas) and just been eating out all the time, and shown up to preseason way overweight. But had a sulk coach Morris wasn't treating him the way he wanted to be treated through preseason. It's like dude, you've got a ****ed knee, how about don't blow out to 130kg+, the coach will be a lot happier with you...

He's growing up.
I reckon I was still a tad immature at that age too.

Yep there would be plenty of examples of this but the first one that springs to mind is Josh Schuster

Hero time Trindall yesterday and it didn’t help when nicho had a shocker
That first 40/20 (30/20) attempt in the 2nd half was a bees dick away...otherwise wasnt very threatening.

Who'd a thunk it that the team coming dead last didnt drop a single bomb all night in wet conditions
